Very significant was Gimle's (#1, 6-0) victory against second-ranked Ammerud (2-2) 79-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ammerud. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Gimle forced 19 Ammerud turnovers and had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nigerian center Justina Udenze (189-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Argentinian-American guard Sthefany Thomas (173-89, college: Clemson) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Forward Sara Grindelid (183-82) responded with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Undefeated Gimle (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Ammerud at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Ulriken. Gimle will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ammerud will play on the road against Ulriken in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Oslo Tigers at the other side keep the fifth position with four games lost. Gimle will play against Ammerud (#3) in Oslo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Oslo Tigers will play on the road against BC Asker in Rykkinn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked BC Asker (0-5) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to second ranked Ullern (3-1) 63-48 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was Julie McCarthy who scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Kristine Skorpen produced 7 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ullern maintains second place with 3-1 record having five points less than leader Gimle. BC Asker lost their fifth game in a row. They still closes the standings with five games lost. Ullern's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Oslo .



Oslo Tigers - Gimle 36-65

Kvinneligaen top team - Gimle (6-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Oslo Tigers (1-4) 65-36. The game without a history. Gimle led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oslo Tigers to just 6 points in first quarter. Gimle dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Oslo Tigers' 30. Gimle forced 25 Oslo Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 44-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Nigerian center Justina Udenze (189-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 11 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and forward Mia Henriksen (180-84) accounted for 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Gimle players scored in double figures.
