Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

BLNO top team - Centrum (5-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Baerum Basket (2-4) in Oslo 82-74. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Baerum Basket won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Centrum outrebounded Baerum Basket 44-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for guard Christian Hinsch (186-88, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) helped adding 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. At the losing side American forward Keith Thompson (197-90, college: Utah Valley) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Centrum maintains first place with 5-1 record. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Centrum are looking forward to face Froya Basket (#4) in Laksevag in the next round. Baerum Basket will play at home against Asker Aliens and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Asker Aliens (0-5) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to third ranked Tromso (4-1) 94-73. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jonathan Jones (196-88, college: Kean) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Gary Wallace accounted for 20 points. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Asker Aliens in the defeat. Tromso have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 4-1 record behind leader Centrum. Asker Aliens at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Tromso will play against league's second-placed Gimle BBK in Bergen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Asker Aliens will play on the road against Baerum Basket (#5) in Bekkestua and hope to get finally their first victory.

Ronald Timus produced 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for lost side. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 4-3 record. Ammerud Bskt lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Froya Basket will again meet Ammerud Bskt (#6) in the next round. Ammerud Bskt will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 7 Ammerud Bskt lost to Gimle BBK on the opponent's court 74-85.


Froya Basket - Ammerud Bskt 96-59

Fourth ranked Froya Basket (4-3) crushed at home 6th ranked Ammerud Bskt (1-5) by 37 points 96-59, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. The game without a history. Froya Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ammerud Bskt to just 6 points in third quarter. Froya Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ammerud Bskt's 36. They outrebounded Ammerud Bskt 41-27 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Froya Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Ammerud Bskt's players. Guard Alain Nzeyimana (-90) fired 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Latvian guard Edmunds Gabrans (190-79) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Five Froya Basket players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Ronald Timus (197-84, college: Morgan St.) produced 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Brian Mariampillai (187-85) added 14 points respectively for lost side.
