American forward Jonathan Jones (196-F-88) put on an amazing game in the last round for Tromso, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team Asker Aliens (#7, 0-6) with 21-point margin 94-73. Tromso maintains the 3rd position in Norwegian BLNO. They are still close to the very top. Tromso would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. Jones turned to be Tromso's top player in his first season with the team. Former Kean University star has very solid stats this year. Jones. Jones is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.4ppg) and averages impressive 55.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 31-year old American Delano Thomas (203-F-81) of league's second-best Gimle BBK. Thomas had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Gimle BBK cruised to a 85-74 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Ammerud Bskt (#6, 1-5). Gimle BBK's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 5-2 record is not bad at all. Thomas is a newcomer at Gimle BBK, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.0ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 11.6rpg and 4.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Alain Nzeyimana (G-90) of Froya Basket (#4). Nzeyimana showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Froya Basket, leading his team to a 96-59 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Ammerud Bskt (#6, 1-5). Froya Basket needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Nzeyimana has a very solid season. In 7 games in Norway he scored 14.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ahmed Haddad (186-G-93) of Ammerud Bskt - 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Edmunds Gabrans (190-G-79) of Froya Basket - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Gary Wallace (187-G-88) of Tromso - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Elias Westerlund (197-F-88) of Asker Aliens - 18 points and 3 rebounds
8. Thomas Mjos (181-PG-90) of Baerum Basket - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Marko Lepovic (194-F-94) of Centrum - 5 points and 12 rebounds
10. Ryan Ferranti (195-F/G-86) of Baerum Basket - 20 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
