The most interesting game of round 5 in the 1Div. was a home defeat of 6th ranked Sverresborg (1-5) by fifth ranked Fyllingen BBK (2-4) who outscored them by 40 points 95-55 in the game for the fifth place. Newly promoted Fyllingen BBK maintains fifth place with 2-4 record. Sverresborg lost third consecutive game. Sverresborg at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Fyllingen BBK are looking forward to face higher ranked Hoybraten (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sverresborg will play against the league's second-placed Varden in Tromso and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Varden (3-3) against fourth ranked Persbraaten (2-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Varden was crushed by Persbraaten in Oslo 102-81. Persbraaten moved-up to third place. Varden at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Persbraaten will play against league's leader Miners in Kongsberg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Varden will play against Sverresborg and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Nidaros Jets Trondheim (BLNO) landed 31-year old American power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard). He played most recently at Saitama Broncos in Japanese B League D3. In 51 games he averaged 12.1ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.5apg, 1.3spg and 1.1bpg in 2015-16 season.
