Fourth-ranked Gimle BBK (6-6) made lots of trouble for first ranked Centrum (10-2) in Oslo on Saturday. Centrum managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 17-11. But Gimle BBK won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Centrum won last quarter 16-15. Centrum outrebounded Gimle BBK 35-0 including a 28-0 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Frank Nyborg (197-83) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Delano Thomas (203-81, college: Shawnee St.) produced 22 points for the guests. Centrum maintains first place with 10-2 record. Gimle BBK lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with six games lost. Centrum are looking forward to face league's second-placed Tromso at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gimle BBK will play against Baerum Basket in Bekkestua and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Ammerud Bskt's coach Kelvin Woods tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimle BBK moved-up to third place. Ammerud Bskt lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Asker Aliens. Gimle BBK will play against Baerum Basket (#5) in Bekkestua in the next round. Ammerud Bskt will play at home against the league's second-placed Tromso and hopes to get back on the winning track.

American forward Delano Thomas (203-81, college: Shawnee St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks. Guard Stian Enge (190-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Guard Brian Mariampillai (187-85) answered with 16 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Ronald Timus (197-84, college: Morgan St.) added 17 points in the effort for Ammerud Bskt. Ammerud Bskt's coach Kelvin Woods tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Gimle BBK moved-up to third place. In 51 games he averaged 12.1ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.5apg, 1.3spg and 1.1bpg in 2015-16 season. Nidaros Jets Trondheim (BLNO) agreed terms with 23-year old Australian point guard Joel Spear (190-84kg-94, college: S.Oregon). He played last summer at Albury Wodonga Bandits in Australian SEABL-East. In 24 games he had 4.3ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.8apg.
