Delano
Thomas
Experienced American Delano Thomas (203-F-81) had an amazing evening in the last round for Gimle BBK and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 22 points and fourteen rebounds, while his team beat Ammerud Bskt (#6, 2-8) 70-65. Gimle BBK is placed at 3rd position in Norwegian BLNO. Gimle BBK is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. Thomas turned to be Gimle BBK's top player in his first season with the team. Shawnee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in points (4th best: 21.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.9rpg), assists (2nd best: 3.8apg) and averages solid 2.3bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old former international forward Frank Nyborg (197-F-83) of league's best team Centrum. Nyborg impressed basketball fans with 18 points and 5 rebounds. It was enough for Centrum to edge slightly lower-ranked Gimle BBK (#3, 6-6) by 2 points 74-72. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Centrum consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 10 matches. Nyborg is well-known by Centrum fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Gimle BBK's star - Stian Enge (190-G-90). Enge scored 11 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was another key player of Gimle BBK, helping his team with a 70-65 win against the lower-ranked Ammerud Bskt (#6, 2-8). Gimle BBK needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 6 lost games. Enge has a very solid season. In 12 games in Norway he scored 11.4ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Espen Fjaerestad (190-SG-94) of Gimle BBK - 20 points and 4 rebounds
5. Mustafa Mahnin (182-PG-80) of Centrum - 16 points and 7 rebounds
6. Delano Thomas (203-F-81) of Gimle BBK - 22 points
7. Ahmed Haddad (186-G-93) of Ammerud Bskt - 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Thor Hagen (193-F-80) of Centrum - 6 points and 9 rebounds
9. Jarl Kristian Jespersen (183-G-86) of Centrum - 7 points and 3 rebounds
10. Brian Mariampillai (187-G-85) of Ammerud Bskt - 16 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
