BLNO is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 13 rounds left.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Centrum as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Centrum defeated 7th ranked Ammerud Bskt in Oslo 78-69. The game without a history. Centrum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Guard Thomas Ble (185-89) stepped up and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) chipped in 17 points. Centrum's coach Ronny Ahlberg used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American swingman Ronald Timus (197-84, college: Morgan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Ammerud Bskt lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Swedish forward Elias Westerlund (197-88) nailed 38 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Djo Yele accounted for 24 points and 15 rebounds. Latvian point guard Reno Silavs (180-91) came up with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Froya Basket in the defeat. Asker Aliens maintains sixth place with 4-8 record. Defending champion Froya Basket keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Asker Aliens will play against higher ranked Baerum Basket (#4) in Bekkestua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Froya Basket will play at home against Gimle BBK in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Gimle BBK (7-7) against sixth ranked Asker Aliens (4-8) on Saturday night. Host Gimle BBK was defeated by Asker Aliens in a tough game in Bergen 73-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gimle BBK. Djo Yele fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Delano Thomas produced 23 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Gimle BBK's coach Brent Hackman tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Asker Aliens maintains sixth place with 4-8 record. Gimle BBK at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Asker Aliens will meet at home higher ranked Baerum Basket (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gimle BBK will play against the league's second-placed Tromso and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



Froya Basket - Asker Aliens 88-90

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Gimle BBK (7-7) against sixth ranked Asker Aliens (4-8) on Saturday night. Host Gimle BBK was defeated by Asker Aliens in a tough game in Bergen 73-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gimle BBK. Gimle BBK trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 23-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-77 at the end of the game. Asker Aliens dominated on the defensive end, holding Gimle BBK to just 7 points in second quarter. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (-82) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Swedish forward Elias Westerlund (197-88) chipped in 18 points. BLNO top team - Kongsberg (11-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Tromso (4-11) 86-67. They outrebounded Tromso 41-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 4 assists. Eric Gilchrese's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award - 4 days ago

American Eric Gilchrese (183-PG-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for Baerum Basket and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10. The 29-year old playmaker recorded a triple-double of 21 points adding also twelve rebounds and ten assists, while his team beat Persbraten (#10, 1-9) 95-89. BLNO Round 10: Leader Kongsberg gets another victory - 5 days ago

The round 10 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Leader Kongsberg delivered the tenth win on Tuesday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Ammerud Bskt (4-7) 80-60 in Oslo. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ammerud Bskt. The game was mostly controlled by Kongsberg.
