American forward Keith Thompson (197-F-90) had a great game in the last round for Baerum Basket, receiving a Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (38 points, eight rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Asker Aliens (#6, 4-9) 84-82. Baerum Basket is placed at 4th position in Norwegian BLNO. Baerum Basket is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. In the team's last game Thompson had a remarkable 72.2% from 2-point range. He turned to be Baerum Basket's top player in his first season with the team. Former Utah Valley University star has very solid stats this year. Thompson is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.3ppg. Thompson is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 9.8rpg) and averages impressive 2.2bpg and 54.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old DR Congolese Djo Yele (F/C-82) of Asker Aliens. Yele had a very good evening with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Asker Aliens was edged by slightly higher-ranked Baerum Basket (#4, 6-6) 84-82. Asker Aliens managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-9 record. Yele is a newcomer at Asker Aliens, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Mathias Bakken (195-F-90) of Gimle BBK (#3). Bakken scored 12 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Bakken's great performance Gimle BBK lost 62-76 to slightly lower-ranked Froya Basket (#5, 6-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Gimle BBK ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bakken could help Gimle BBK to bring them higher in the standings. Bakken has a very solid season. In 8 games in Norway he scored 4.4ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jonathan Jones (196-F-88) of Tromso - 17 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Delano Thomas (203-F-81) of Gimle BBK - 23 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Hammad Mostafa (G-86) of Froya Basket - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Joachim Bohn (187-G-91) of Asker Aliens - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Hani Issalhi (187-G-84) of Tromso - 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Delano Thomas (203-F-81) of Gimle BBK - 17 points and 6 rebounds
10. Edmunds Gabrans (190-G-79) of Froya Basket - 7 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
