The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Tromso (12-3) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked Centrum (12-4) 84-82. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Tromso. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-82. Forward Marko Lepovic (194-94) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners. American forward Jonathan Jones (196-88, college: Kean) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds for Tromso. Centrum maintains second place with 12-4 record having just -1 point less than leader Tromso. Tromso at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Centrum will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tromso will play again at home against the league's second-placed Centrum in Oslo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Asker was also worth to mention about. 5th ranked Gimle BBK (7-12) played at the court of sixth ranked Asker Aliens (6-9). Asker Aliens managed to secure a 9-point victory 86-77. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and Espen Stien chipped in 28 points and 5 assists. Guard Anders Stien (195-90) responded with 28 points. Asker Aliens maintains sixth place with 6-9 record. Gimle BBK lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Asker Aliens will play against bottom-ranked Ammerud Bskt (#7) in Oslo in the next round. Gimle BBK will have a break next round.

They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Baerum Basket will meet bottom-ranked Ammerud Bskt (#7) in the next round. Gimle BBK will have a break next round.

Coach Lars Gunnar Sonsteby leaves Baerum Basket - May 22, 2016

46-year old coach Lars Gunnar Sonsteby left Baerum Basket Bekkestua (BLNO). He helped them to make it to the final. The previous (13-14) season Sonsteby coached at Ullern (Kvinneligaen). He contributed to his team winning the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Centrum celebrate BLNO Gold - Mar 14, 2016

FINAL Tromso - Centrum 71-85 Centrum earned the BLNO Gold. They toppled Tromso in the Final on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Tromso managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Tromso 39-22 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds.
