Best players of Norwegian Kvinneligaen round 14 - Jan 14, 2013

Mia Henriksen (180-F-84) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Gimle and that's her to receive a Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 28-year old forward had the game-high 28 points adding eight rebounds for Gimle in her team's victory, helping them to crush Ulriken (#4, 6-6) with 17-point margin 89-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Gimle to consolidate first place in the Norwegian Kvinneligaen. Gimle have a solid 13-2 record. In the team's last game Henriksen had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Gimle, through which he has constantly improved. Henriksen has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 12.9ppg) and averages solid 50.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old forward Kristina Kroge (177-F-87) of Ammerud. Kroge impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Of course she lead Ammerud to another comfortable win 60-42 over the lower-ranked Oslo Tigers (#6, 1-13) being unquestionably team leader. Ammerud's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 9-5 record is not bad at all. Kroge is a newcomer at Ammerud and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

The third best performed player last round was another Gimle's star - Nigerian Justina Udenze (189-C-89). Udenze scored 18 points and grabbed ten rebounds. She was another key player of Gimle, helping her team with a 74-50 easy win against the lower-ranked BC Asker (#5, 2-12). Gimle confirms their top position in the standings Udenze has a great season in Norway. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 18.5rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 3.2apg (4th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mia Henriksen (180-F-84) of Gimle - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Tina Moen (181-G-86) of Ullern - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Sthefany Thomas (173-G-89) of Gimle - 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Sthefany Thomas (173-G-89) of Gimle - 21 points and 5 rebounds
8. Stine Austgulen (179-G-94) of Ulriken - 24 points and 6 rebounds
9. Justina Udenze (189-C-89) of Gimle - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Elin Gulbrandsen (173-G-94) of BC Asker - 15 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
