An exciting game was played in Kongsberg. Top-ranked Miners faced their biggest opponent Persbraaten. Host Miners (10-0) defeated guests from Oslo (4-4) 85-77. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Persbraaten. Undefeated Miners have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Persbraaten at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. Miners will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Persbraaten will play on the road against Varden in Tromso and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Trondheim was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Hoybraten (5-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Sverresborg (3-9). Hoybraten defeated Sverresborg 75-60. Hoybraten moved-up to second place. Sverresborg at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Hoybraten will play against Fyllingen BBK (#4) at home in the next round. Sverresborg will play against Persbraaten in Oslo and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Nidaros Jets Trondheim (BLNO) landed 31-year old American power forward Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard). He played most recently at Saitama Broncos in Japanese B League D3. In 51 games he averaged 12.1ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.5apg, 1.3spg and 1.1bpg in 2015-16 season. Nidaros Jets Trondheim (BLNO) agreed terms with 23-year old Australian point guard Joel Spear (190-84kg-94, college: S.Oregon). He played last summer at Albury Wodonga Bandits in Australian SEABL-East. In 24 games he had 4.3ppg, 2.9rpg and 1.8apg. Fyllingen BBK (BLNO) signed 33-year old Lithuanian center Vilius Sumskis (213-120kg-84, agency: Interperformances). He played last season at Taurages in Lithuanian RKL league.
