Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most exciting game of round 19 in the BLNO took place in Bergen. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Froya Basket (7-9) to fourth ranked Gimle BBK (9-12) 78-75 in the game for the fourth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Froya Basket. Froya Basket was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 28-22 charge of Gimle BBK, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Froya Basket to just 7 points in second quarter. Gimle BBK made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Froya Basket 40-23 including a 28-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gimle BBK made 7 blocks. American forward Delano Thomas (203-81, college: Shawnee St.) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Croatian center Igor Sedlar (215-84) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). American power forward Peter Bullock (198-82, college: Alaska-Anch.) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Gimle BBK maintains fourth place with 9-12 record. Defending champion Froya Basket dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Asker Aliens. Gimle BBK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Froya Basket will play at home against Ammerud Bskt (#7) in Oslo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Gimle BBK - Ammerud Bskt 92-80

The game with biggest result difference took place in Bergen. Local Gimle BBK (9-12) beat 7th ranked Ammerud Bskt (3-14) 92-80. The game was mostly controlled by Gimle BBK. Ammerud Bskt was better in second period 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gimle BBK players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Delano Thomas (203-81, college: Shawnee St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Anders Stien (195-90) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Gimle BBK's coach Brent Hackman allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Coach Lars Gunnar Sonsteby leaves Baerum Basket - May 22, 2016

46-year old coach Lars Gunnar Sonsteby left Baerum Basket Bekkestua (BLNO). He helped them to make it to the final. The previous (13-14) season Sonsteby coached at Ullern (Kvinneligaen). He contributed to his team winning the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. FINAL Tromso - Centrum 71-85 Centrum earned the BLNO Gold. They toppled Tromso in the Final on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Tromso managed to win second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Tromso 39-22 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds.
