The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Oslo: Ullern (#2) and Oslo Tigers (#6). Ullern (10-2) crushed visiting Oslo Tigers (1-14) by 53 points 87-34. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oslo Tigers to just 1 points in fourth quarter and to 11 points in second half. Ullern dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Oslo Tigers' 22. Ullern forced 30 Oslo Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Oslo Tigers' players. It was a good game for the former international guard Tina Moen (181-86, college: IPFW) who led her team to a victory with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Julie McCarthy (187-93) contributed with 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Uzoma Ifejilika (-92) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds for Oslo Tigers. Ullern have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-2 record having 4 victories less than leader Gimle. Oslo Tigers lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Ullern are looking forward to face BC Asker (#5) in Rykkinn in the next round. Oslo Tigers will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ammerud (9-7) against fourth ranked Ulriken (7-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Ammerud was defeated by Ulriken in Bergen 79-69. It was a great evening for guard Stine Austgulen (179-94) who led her team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Lise Breivik helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Marianne Sand (184-93) with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 7-6 record. Ammerud at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Ulriken will play against BC Asker (#5) in Rykkinn in the next round. Ammerud will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Gimle (14-2) which hosted in Bergen 3rd placed Ammerud (9-7). First ranked Gimle had an easy win 72-51. It was an exceptional evening for Justina Udenze who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 23 rebounds and 9 assists. Tina Nesse came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for Ammerud in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gimle have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-2 record. Loser Ammerud keeps the third position with seven games lost. Gimle will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ammerud will play against Ulriken in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

An interesting game for Gimle (14-2) which hosted in Bergen 3rd placed Ammerud (9-7). First ranked Gimle had an easy win 72-51. The game was mostly controlled by Gimle. Ammerud managed to win fourth quarter 19-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ammerud 49-25 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian center Justina Udenze (189-89, college: Cent.Conn.St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 23 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Mia Henriksen (180-84) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. The former international center Tina Nesse (183-84) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and center Marianne Sand (184-93) added 17 points respectively for Ammerud in the defeat.
