An exciting game was played in Bekkestua. Third ranked Baerum Basket faced second-ranked Centrum. Host Baerum Basket (10-9) smashed guests from Oslo (12-6) 105-86. The game without a history. Baerum Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Baerum Basket forced 19 Centrum turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Centrum's players. 25 personal fouls committed by Centrum helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American swingman Lionel Green (196-84, college: SUNO) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Stian Mjos (182-89) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international point guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-80) produced 31 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Baerum Basket maintains third position with 10-9 record having two points less than leader Tromso. Centrum at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. Baerum Basket are looking forward to face Asker Aliens (#6) on the road in the next round. Centrum will play against Froya Basket (#5) in Laksevag and is hoping to win this game.

Guard Gary Wallace (187-88, college: Robert Morris, agency: TSS Management) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Jonathan Jones contributed with 21 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Lionel Green (196-84, college: SUNO) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds for Baerum Basket. Tromso maintains first position with 14-3 record. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Tromso will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Baerum Basket will play on the road against Asker Aliens and hopes to get back on the winning track.

The game was mostly controlled by Froya Basket. Ammerud Bskt managed to win second period 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Froya Basket shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ammerud Bskt's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of Latvian point guard Reno Silavs (180-91) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 4 assists and American power forward Peter Bullock (198-82, college: Alaska-Anch.) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. But then Tromso had a 29-22 second period charge getting the lead and Baerum Basket was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 78-89. Tromso made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Baerum Basket 37-21 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tromso players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Baerum Basket's players. The game was dominated by American players.
