Gary Wallace
American Gary Wallace (187-G-88, agency: TSS Management) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Tromso and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 24-year old guard recorded a triple-double of 25 points addeding also ten rebounds and ten assists, while his team beat Baerum Basket (#3, 10-9) 89-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tromso to consolidate first place in the Norwegian BLNO. Tromso have a solid 14-3 record. It's Wallace's second year at Tromso and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Robert Morris University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Wallace is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.6ppg) and assists (5th best: 3.5apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old American swingman Lionel Green (196-G/F-84) of Baerum Basket. Green impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Baerum Basket to another comfortable win 105-86 over slightly higher-ranked Centrum (#2, 12-6) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Baerum Basket consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 10-9 record is not bad at all. Green is a newcomer at Baerum Basket and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was former international guard Mustafa Mahnin (182-PG-80) of second-ranked Centrum. Mahnin got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. Despite Mahnin's great performance Centrum lost 86-105 to #3 ranked Baerum Basket. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Centrum needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 12 victories and 6 lost games. Mahnin has a great season in Norway. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.5apg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jonathan Jones (196-F-88) of Tromso - 21 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Lionel Green (196-G/F-84) of Baerum Basket - 24 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Peter Bullock (198-F/C-82) of Froya Basket - 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Edmunds Gabrans (190-G-79) of Froya Basket - 9 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists
8. Nicholas Phillip (187-F/G-90) of Tromso - 18 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Ryan Ferranti (195-F/G-86) of Baerum Basket - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Phillip Holm (175-G-80) of Baerum Basket - 12 points and 8 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
