The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 4 rounds.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Tromso (15-4) in Laksevag on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Froya Basket (10-10) 79-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tromso. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 24-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Froya Basket forced 21 Tromso turnovers. The former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Hammad Mostafa (-86) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Jonathan Jones (196-88, college: Kean) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 10-10 record. Tromso at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Froya Basket are looking forward to face Gimle BBK (#5) in Bergen in the next round. Tromso will play at home against Asker Aliens (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Oslo: Ammerud Bskt (#7) and Centrum (#2). Centrum was defeated at home 63-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. American-British center Gerald January (201-88, college: Montevallo) notched 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Roy Nwachukwu supported him with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Even 24 points by the former international forward Frank Nyborg (197-83) did not help to save the game for Centrum. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ammerud Bskt maintains seventh position with 4-16 record. Centrum at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Ammerud Bskt will play against higher ranked Asker Aliens (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Centrum will have a break next round.
BLNO top team - Tromso (15-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Gimle BBK (9-13) in Bergen 75-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gimle BBK. Gary Wallace fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Delano Thomas produced a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 11 blocks for lost side. Tromso have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-4 record. Loser Gimle BBK keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Tromso will meet at home Asker Aliens (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. Gimle BBK will play against Froya Basket in Laksevag and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 22 Asker Aliens lost to Baerum Basket on the opponent's court 75-83.

Baerum Basket - Asker Aliens 83-75

Rather expected game in Bekkestua where 6th ranked Asker Aliens (7-11) were defeated by third ranked Baerum Basket (12-9) 83-75 on Sunday. Baerum Basket made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Baerum Basket outrebounded Asker Aliens 42-31 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Asker Aliens' players. American swingman Ryan Ferranti (195-86, college: Rollins) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The other American import swingman Lionel Green (196-84, college: SUNO) chipped in 9 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Baerum Basket players scored in double figures.
