There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Kvinneligaen.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ullern as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ullern defeated 4th placed Ulriken in Oslo 69-57. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 36-20 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Ullern forced 21 Ulriken turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Kristine Kristiansen (173-75) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals. The former international guard Tina Moen (181-86, college: IPFW) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Ullern's coach Inge Kristiansen used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Stine Austgulen (179-94) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds for Ulriken. Ullern (15-2) have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Defending champion Ulriken keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Ulriken will play next round against Oslo Tigers trying to get back on the winning streak. Ullern will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked BC Asker in Rykkinn.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Oslo: Ammerud (#3) and Oslo Tigers (#6). Ammerud (11-8) crushed visiting Oslo Tigers (1-16) by 51 points 87-36. It was a great evening for the former international center Tina Nesse (183-84) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Kristina Kroge helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ammerud's coach Morten Sanden felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Eeva-Maria Mannikkoe (-83) responded with 6 points and 9 rebounds. Ammerud maintains third place with 11-8 record having two points less than leader Ullern. Oslo Tigers lost their thirteenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Ammerud will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Oslo Tigers will play on the road against Ulriken (#4) in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Rykkinn supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Ulriken (9-10) played at the court of 5th ranked BC Asker (3-15). Ulriken smashed BC Asker 78-53 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Stine Austgulen who led the winners and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. Kristine Skorpen came up with 18 points for BC Asker in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 9-10 record. BC Asker at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Ulriken will meet at home bottom-ranked Oslo Tigers (#6) in the next round. BC Asker will play against the league's leader Ullern in Oslo and hope to secure a win.

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Oslo: Ammerud (#3) and Oslo Tigers (#6). Ammerud (11-8) crushed visiting Oslo Tigers (1-16) by 51 points 87-36. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oslo Tigers to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Ammerud held Oslo Tigers to an opponent 22.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 60.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Ammerud forced 24 Oslo Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 44-24 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for the former international center Tina Nesse (183-84) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Ulriken forced 29 BC Asker turnovers and outrebounded them 46-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for guard Stine Austgulen (179-94) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Rebekka Tyssoy (-87) accounted for 14 points and 4 assists for the winning side. point guard Kristine Skorpen (170-94) came up with 18 points and forward Siri Granheim (178-94) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for BC Asker in the defeat. Former international Forward Maren Hoff Austgulen (182-F-91) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Ulriken, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9. The 25-year old player was the main contributor (21 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to her team's victory, helping them to beat Gimle Pride (#5, 2-6) 70-60. Very significant was Asker's (#3, 5-3) victory against 4th placed Hoybraten (2-5) 61-45. The game was mostly controlled by Asker. Hoybraten managed to win fourth quarter 14-2. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asker forced 21 Hoybraten turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 22-year old point guard Sigrid Hardie (163-PG-94) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Bergen and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
