American Jonathan Jones (196-F-88) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Tromso and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 37 points and twenty rebounds, while his team beat Baerum Basket (#3, 12-10) 95-88. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tromso to consolidate first place in the Norwegian BLNO. Tromso have a solid 18-4 record. Jones turned to be Tromso's top player in his first season with the team. Kean University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jones is league's best scorer averaging so far 23.2ppg and leads league in rebounds with 15.2rpg. Jones is in league's top in and averages solid 56.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old former international forward Frank Nyborg (197-F-83) of second-ranked Centrum. Nyborg impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course Centrum cruised to a 85-75 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Asker Aliens (#6, 7-14). Centrum's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 14-7 record is not bad at all. Nyborg is well-known by Centrum fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Ronald Timus (197-G/F-84) of Ammerud Bskt (#7). Timus scored 24 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Timus' great performance Ammerud Bskt lost 67-76 to the higher-ranked Tromso (#1, 18-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Ammerud Bskt can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 5-17 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Timus he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Timus has individually a great season in Norway. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.2ppg (5th best), rebounds with 7.6rpg (5th best) and assists with 3.3apg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Espen Stien (186-G-86) of Asker Aliens - 33 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Phillip Holm (175-PG-80) of Baerum Basket - 26 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Gary Wallace (187-G-88) of Tromso - 27 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Gary Wallace (187-G-88) of Tromso - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Stian Mjos (182-PG-89) of Baerum Basket - 28 points and 5 assists
9. Marko Lepovic (194-F-94) of Centrum - 7 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
