BLNO top team - Kongsberg (11-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Tromso (4-11) 86-67. They outrebounded Tromso 41-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points and 4 assists. American guard C.J. Oldham (203-91, college: Gannon) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Kongsberg's coach Bard Stoller used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Johannes Lange (175-98) answered with 29 points for Tromso. Kongsberg have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-2 record. Tromso at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Kongsberg are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Persbraten (#10) in Oslo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tromso will play at home against Froya Basket and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
The game in Oslo was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Baerum Basket (9-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Centrum (5-8). Baerum Basket managed to secure a 5-point victory 81-76. It was a great evening for point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists. Eric Gilchrese helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Anders Stien (195-90) responded with 27 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Baerum Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-4 record having just two points less than leader Kongsberg, which they share with Froya Basket. Defending champion Centrum dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Baerum Basket will play against league's second-placed Nidaros Jets in Tromdheim in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Centrum will play at home against Gimle BBK (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Asker Aliens (5-7) and Tromso (4-11), which took place in Asker. 6th ranked Asker Aliens lost at home to ninth ranked Tromso 55-65 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Hani Issalhi who led the winners and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Djo Yele came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds for Asker Aliens in the defeat. Tromso maintains ninth place with 4-11 record. Loser Asker Aliens keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Tromso will meet at home higher ranked Froya Basket (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Asker Aliens will play against the league's second-placed Nidaros Jets and will have a slim chance for a victory.
The game between second ranked Nidaros Jets (10-4) and 8th ranked Ammerud Bskt (4-8) in Tromdheim ended with biggest points difference. Nidaros Jets outscored guests from Oslo 91-66. The best player for the winners was Evan Roquemore who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Nidaros Jets' coach Luke Jenkinson felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Nidaros Jets have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-4 record behind leader Kongsberg. Ammerud Bskt at the other side keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Nidaros Jets' next round opponent will be Asker Aliens (#6) on the road. Ammerud Bskt will play against Gimle BBK and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 11 bottom-ranked Persbraten was smashed by Froya Basket on the road 78-58. Gimle BBK won against Persbraten on its own court 96-78.

Centrum - Baerum Basket 76-81

The game in Oslo was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Baerum Basket (9-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Centrum (5-8). Baerum Basket managed to secure a 5-point victory 81-76. It looked good early as Centrum took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Baerum Basket had a 28-15 second period charge getting the lead and Centrum was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-81. Baerum Basket made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Centrum was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 4 assists. American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: New Hampshire) helped adding 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Forward Anders Stien (195-90) responded with 27 points and point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Baerum Basket and four Centrum players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Baerum Basket have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 9-4 record having just two points less than leader Kongsberg, which they share with Froya Basket. No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Froya Basket (9-4) crushed bottom-ranked Persbraten (1-11) in Laksevag 78-58. Froya Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Persbraten's players. The best player for the winners was French forward Ivan Emanuely (199-91) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Latvian guard Edmunds Gabrans (188-79) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Four Froya Basket players scored in double figures. Hungarian-Swedish guard Zoltan Kurinczky (181-82) produced 34 points (!!!) and forward Christian Bakken (198-88) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Froya Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Baerum Basket. Persbraten lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Froya Basket's next round opponent will be Tromso (#9) on the road which should be theoretically another easy game. Persbraten will play against the league's leader Kongsberg and hope to win that game.

The game was mostly controlled by Nidaros Jets. Ammerud Bskt was better in third quarter 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Nidaros Jets won last quarter 33-10. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ammerud Bskt's 28. They outrebounded Ammerud Bskt 45-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. Nidaros Jets brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard Evan Roquemore (190-92, college: Santa Clara) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gimle BBK dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Persbraten's 30. Gimle BBK forced 23 Persbraten turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. The best player for the winners was swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
