The game in Oslo supposed to be quite interesting. Seventh ranked Asker Aliens (7-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Ammerud Bskt (5-11). Asker Aliens did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-70 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Asker Aliens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Asker Aliens outrebounded Ammerud Bskt 46-29 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) fired 32 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) chipped in 22 points and 13 rebounds. Asker Aliens' coach Lars Gunnar Sonsteby used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-German forward Marco Sanders (202-79, college: Point Park) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Asker Aliens maintains seventh place with 7-7 record. Ammerud Bskt lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Asker Aliens are looking forward to face league's second-placed Baerum Basket in Bekkestua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ammerud Bskt will have a break next round.

Persbraten - Ammerud Bskt 82-85

Important game to mention about took place in Oslo. Eighth ranked Ammerud Bskt (5-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 10th ranked Persbraten (1-14) 85-82 on Monday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Persbraten won third quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Persbraten was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-German forward Marco Sanders (202-79, college: Point Park) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Samuel Amed Diomande (193-88) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Ammerud Bskt players scored in double figures. Hungarian-Swedish guard Zoltan Kurinczky (181-82) answered with 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Swedish guard Aron Furstenberg (192-88) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Persbraten. Umea BSKT (Basketligan) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-88kg-87, college: New Hampshire). He played most recently at Baerum Basket in Norwegian BLNO. In 28 games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.0ppg, 5.4rpg, 6.9apg (leader !!!) and 4.0spg (leader !!!) last season.
