Sixth-ranked Centrum (9-10) made lots of trouble for first ranked Kongsberg (15-2) in Oslo on Thursday. The visitors from Kongsberg managed to secure only three-point victory 100-97. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Kongsberg made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Centrum helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) fired 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Croatian guard Tomislav Gabric (198-91, college: Ft.Hays State) chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for lost side. Kongsberg have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Defending champion Centrum dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. Kongsberg are looking forward to face Nidaros Jets (#4) in Tromdheim in the next round. Centrum will play at home against Nidaros Jets and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
Tenth-ranked Persbraten (1-16) made lots of trouble for second ranked Baerum Basket (12-4) in Bekkestua. Baerum Basket managed to secure only one-point victory 86-85. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: New Hampshire) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Stian Mjos contributed with 19 points for the winners. Baerum Basket's coach Matthias Eckhoff allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Hungarian-Swedish guard Zoltan Kurinczky (181-82) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for Persbraten. Baerum Basket have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record having four points less than leader Kongsberg. Persbraten lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 16 games lost. Baerum Basket will play against league's leader Kongsberg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Persbraten will play against Asker Aliens (#6) to get more than just one victory in their record.

Centrum - Kongsberg 97-100
