An interesting game for Kongsberg (17-2) which hosted in Kongsberg second-ranked Baerum Basket (13-5). First ranked Kongsberg managed to get a 4-point victory 104-100. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Baerum Basket. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 104-100. Kongsberg dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Baerum Basket's 40. 24 personal fouls committed by Baerum Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard C.J. Oldham (203-91, college: Gannon) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) contributed with 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) answered with 36 points (!!!) and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for Baerum Basket. Baerum Basket's coach Matthias Eckhoff rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kongsberg have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Kongsberg are looking forward to face Ammerud Bskt (#9) in Oslo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Baerum Basket will play on the road against Froya Basket (#3) in Laksevag and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kongsberg's coach Bard Stoller felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. There were no big surprises in other games of round 17: Ammerud Bskt was smashed by Gimle BBK on the road 78-56. Bottom-ranked Persbraten was destroyed by Asker Aliens on its own court 67-90. Ammerud Bskt was outscored by Froya Basket in Laksevag 84-60. Baerum Basket rolled over Ammerud Bskt at home 88-63.
The most impressive performance of 17th round was 23 points and 15 rebounds by Djo Yele of Asker Aliens.

Centrum - Nidaros Jets 105-75

The game in Oslo supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Nidaros Jets (10-10) played at the court of seventh ranked Centrum (10-10). Centrum smashed Nidaros Jets 105-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Nidaros Jets managed to win third quarter 29-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Nidaros Jets' 40. Centrum had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Centrum especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Nidaros Jets' players. The former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) nailed 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) accounted for 15 points and 4 assists. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. Centrum's coach Inge Kristiansen felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Very expected game when 10th ranked Persbraten (1-17) was smashed by sixth ranked Asker Aliens (10-9) in Oslo 90-67 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Asker Aliens. Persbraten managed to win second period 16-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Asker Aliens dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Persbraten's 34. They outrebounded Persbraten 47-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and Latvian forward Alvis Eglitis (195-85) accounted for 12 points and 15 rebounds. Five Asker Aliens players scored in double figures. Coach Lars Gunnar Sonsteby's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. Swedish guard Aron Furstenberg (192-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and guard Ole Moss (187-86) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Persbraten in the defeat.
