The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Kongsberg (21-4) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by seventh ranked Asker Aliens (12-13) 94-93. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Asker Aliens had a 40-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. DR Congolese power forward Djo Yele (203-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. Kongsberg's coach Bard Stoller rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Asker Aliens maintains seventh place with 12-13 record. Kongsberg at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Asker Aliens are looking forward to face Tromso (#8) on the road in the next round. Kongsberg will have a break next round.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Froya Basket (15-9) against fourth ranked Centrum (15-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Froya Basket was defeated by Centrum in a tough game in Oslo 63-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Froya Basket. American Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) nailed 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Aksel Bolinz accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Jeff Harper (203-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for Froya Basket in the defeat. Centrum have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 15-10 record. Froya Basket at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Centrum will play against league's second-placed Baerum Basket in Bekkestua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Froya Basket will play at home against Nidaros Jets and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Persbraten managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of eleven consecutive losses on Friday night. This time newly promoted Persbraten won against ninth-ranked Ammerud Bskt in Oslo 73-66. The best player for the winners was Christian Bakken who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Andreas Xepapadakis who recorded 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Newly promoted Persbraten maintains tenth place with 2-23 record. Ammerud Bskt lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

They maintain second place with 19-5 record having just three points less than leader Kongsberg. Tromso lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. Baerum Basket will face Centrum (#4) in Oslo in the next round. Tromso will play at home against Asker Aliens (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 21 Froya Basket won against Nidaros Jets on the opponent's court 84-67. Asker Aliens lost to defending champion Centrum in a home game 77-98.

Tromso - Baerum Basket 62-102

The game in Tromso supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Baerum Basket (19-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Tromso (8-16). Baerum Basket smashed Tromso 102-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. Baerum Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tromso's 42. Baerum Basket forced 21 Tromso turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tromso's players. American forward James Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) stepped up and scored 30 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: New Hampshire) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 7 steals. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was forward Anders Solem (196-92) with 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and point guard Aslak Smalas (186-89) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Jeff Harper (203-87) stepped up and scored 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Ali Ouakkaha (187-90, college: Cuesta JC) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Harper is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Froya Basket's coach Brent Hackman used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Kenyan Earl Simba (204-92) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and forward Jakob Baiden (194-93) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Froya Basket and four Nidaros Jets players scored in double figures. Froya Basket maintains third place with 15-9 record having seven points less than leader Kongsberg. Loser Nidaros Jets keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Froya Basket will have a break next round. Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Centrum (15-10) smashed on the road 7th ranked Asker Aliens (12-13) 98-77 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Asker Aliens was better in fourth quarter 29-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Centrum dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Asker Aliens' 34. They outrebounded Asker Aliens 51-31 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) with 36 points (!!!) and Latvian forward Alvis Eglitis (195-85) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds.
