Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The game between third ranked Froya Basket (16-10) and fourth ranked Gimle BBK (16-10) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Froya Basket was crushed by Gimle BBK in Bergen 72-93. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Gimle BBK's pressure prevailed and they won that period 30-12 extending their advantage to 21 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Froya Basket's 28. Gimle BBK forced 20 Froya Basket turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gimle BBK made 8 blocks. American guard Nick Victor (196-92, college: Yale) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Latvian point guard Reno Silavs (180-91) answered with 20 points for Froya Basket. Gimle BBK have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Froya Basket. Gimle BBK is looking forward to face Tromso (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Froya Basket will play against Tromso (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Kongsberg (22-4) which hosted in Kongsberg second-ranked Baerum Basket (20-6). First ranked Kongsberg managed to get a 10-point victory 78-68. It ended at the same time the 18-game winning streak of Baerum Basket. It was a great evening for Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 assists. CJ Oldham helped adding 12 points and 13 rebounds. American forward James Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds. Baerum Basket's coach Matthias Eckhoff rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kongsberg maintains first place with 22-4 record. Baerum Basket at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. Kongsberg will play against Nidaros Jets (#7) in Tromdheim in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Baerum Basket will play at home against Persbraten (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game between sixth ranked Asker Aliens (13-14) and 10th ranked Persbraten (2-24) in Asker on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Asker Aliens outscored guests from Oslo 89-67. It was a quality performance for Djo Yele who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Christian Bakken came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Persbraten in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Asker Aliens maintains sixth place with 13-14 record. Newly promoted Persbraten stay dead last with 24 lost games. Asker Aliens will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Persbraten will play against the league's second-placed Baerum Basket (#2) in Bekkestua and hope to secure a win.

Kongsberg - Baerum Basket 78-68

An interesting game for Kongsberg (22-4) which hosted in Kongsberg second-ranked Baerum Basket (20-6). First ranked Kongsberg managed to get a 10-point victory 78-68. It ended at the same time the 18-game winning streak of Baerum Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Kongsberg. Baerum Basket was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kongsberg had a 32-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 5 assists. American guard CJ Oldham (203-91, college: Gannon) helped adding 12 points and 13 rebounds. Four Kongsberg players scored in double figures. American forward James Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) scored 18 points. Nordberg, Fyllingen BBK and Aalesund Sharks celebrated Division 1 titles in Norway. Nordberg won Division 1 East title with a 19-3 record. In the last game they beat OSI 57-51 as Bendik Aunan (185-PG-90) stepped up with 14 points. Halvor Poulsson (191-F-91) and Emil Aas Stoltenberg followed him with 13 each, while Joacim Bergh added 8.
