Baerum Basket - Nidaros Jets 102-94

Baerum rallied past Nidaros Jets to complete the sweep of the series. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-16. But Nidaros Jets won third quarter 33-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Baerum Basket forced 25 Nidaros Jets turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. American forward James Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: New Hampshire) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 assists for the winners. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Baerum Basket's coach Matthias Eckhoff allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Kahlil McDonald (194-87, college: W.Kentucky) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and forward Jakob Baiden (194-93) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Nidaros Jets. Four Nidaros Jets players scored in double figures.

Gimle BBK - Asker Aliens 90-61

Gimle cruised past Asker at home court to reach the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Gimle BBK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Asker Aliens' 18. Gimle BBK forced 21 Asker Aliens turnovers and outrebounded them 50-21 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Gimle BBK players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Asker Aliens' players. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. American guard Nick Victor (196-92, college: Yale) contributed with 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. Gimle BBK's coach Audun Eskeland felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ICEn guard Sigurtor Sigurtorsson (190-97) replied with 19 points and the former international guard Espen Stien (186-86) added 14 points in the effort for Asker Aliens.

Froya Basket - Centrum 73-75

Centrum nipped Froya Basket on the road and sealed their next round appearance. Froya Basket was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 24-16 charge of Centrum, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 21 Froya Basket turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. American Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Ali Ouakkaha (187-90, college: Cuesta JC) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Jamell Harris (206-91, college: E.Michigan) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Kongsberg topped Tromso to advance into the semis. The game was mostly controlled by Kongsberg. Tromso was better in third quarter 14-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 5 rebounds. American guard CJ Oldham (203-91, college: Gannon) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Kongsberg's coach Bard Stoller allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Hani Issalhi (191-84) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward Anders Solem (196-92) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Tromso.

Nidaros Jets Trondheim (BLNO) added to their roster 27-year old point guard Thomas Mjos (181-90) from Centrum. In 26 BLNO games he recorded 10.0ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.3apg and 1.5spg last season. He helped them to win the league title. Mjos was selected to Norwegian BLNO All-Star Game back in 2012. He represented Norway at the European Championships U20 Division B in Austria seven years ago. Umea BSKT (Basketligan) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-88kg-87, college: New Hampshire).
