Just some seconds ago the FIBAs draw was not in favor of the Hellenic team as it showed that the Hellenic NT will play against the all mighty USA NT and against the World Champions team of Spain. As everybody knows miracles do not happened twice but where there is a will there is the way and Head Coach Panagiotis Yannakis is called to 'walk the talk' to drive the Hellenic NT to another great era. The top favourites are of course and at this stage USA and Spain from Group A and Russia with Lithuania from Group B. Let's hope that these facts will eventually change in the court and that among these four favorite teams there will be a surprise and that the name of the Hellenic NT will be figuring among the top four teams in the world!

The first game for the Hellenic team will be against the World Champions team of Spain on the 10th of August at 14:30 - Greece's time, while the third game will be against the all mgihty and ready for revenge, team of USA which will take place on 14th of August at 20:00 - Greece' s time

The exact composition of the two groups are the folowing:

Group A:

Argentina, Australia, Iran, Lithuania, Russia, Croatia

Group B:

Angola, China, Spain, USA, Germany and Greece

The Nigerian national basketball team, D'Tigers are aiming to reach greater heights at the forthcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero scheduled to begin on Friday, August 5, 2016. Chris Paul withdraws from Team USA consideration for 2016 Olympics - Mar 29, 2016

At the 2012 Olympics in London, Chris Paul (183-PG-85, college: Wake Forest) went to see the volleyball, the swimming, the track. He brought Russell Westbrook (190-PG-88, college: UCLA) with him to root on Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings. He sat in the cheering section for Michael Phelps.
