Asseco Prokom defended their PLK title. Again. They are now holding nine straight PLK titles extending their dominance in the Polish basketball. Asseco Prokom held off ambitious Trefl Sopot in Gdynia tonight to win the title series 4-3. Jerel Blassingame (175-G-81, college: UNLV) was named PLK Finals MVP. Asseco Prokom build the decisive lead in the first half. They were up by four points 20:16 after ten minutes. But the second quarter propelled to much more comfortable advantage. The hosts limited Trefl Sopot to just 9 points in the period building a 43:25 halftime lead. The visitors tried to revive the intrigue after the long break. Trefl Sopot added offensive aggressiveness and knocked down 24 points in the third period. They cut the margin to 13 points before the fourth frame. Trefl Sopot narrowed the gap even more but eventually it proved too deep to overcome as Asseco Prokom rallied to the victory. Donatas Motiejunas (213-F/C-90, agency: Interperformances) posted 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Jerel Blassingame chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the winning case. Filip Dylewicz (202-F-80) answered with 22 points for Trefl Sopot. Lukasz Koszarek (187-G-84) nailed 16 points in defeat.

Trefl Sopot earned the Polish Cup title. They prevailed against Zastal Zielona Gora who hosted the Final. Lukasz Koszarek (187-G-84) fired 25 points to pace the winners. The guard was named the MVP after the game. Trefl Sopot strongly entered the game. They left the hosts behind taking a 22:13 lead after ten minutes. Trefl Sopot maintained the lead throughout the second term. They established a 44:34 halftime advantage. The teams traded baskets throughout the third term. The Sopot team ensured a 10-point cushion heading into the fourth period. Trefl kept their opponents at bay throughout the final minutes and ensured a well-deserved win at the end. Filip Dylewicz (202-F-80) and Lukasz Wisniewski (186-G-84, college: Barton County CC) finished with 13 points each for the winners. Walter Hodge (183-PG-86, college: Florida) answered with 21 points and 9 asists for Zastal Zielona Gora. North triumphs at All Star Game as the show just have finished in the country. Both teams showed a great effort and performance, while North grabbed 151:135 victory. North scored 45 points in the opening period and led 8 points after the first quarter. Moreover they added 41:36 for 13-point advantage at the halftime. South bounced back with 30-27 in the third period, but lost the last quarter 38-32. Qa'rraan Calhoun was the best Dunker in the All Star Game. Andrzej Pluta won three-point Contest. Corsley Edwards (205-C/F-79, college: Cent.Conn.St.) stepped up with 23 points to be named MVP of the game. Dardan Berisha (192-G-88, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) and Krzysztof Szubarga (182-G-84) poured in 18 apiece, while Tony Weeden (186-G-83, agency: Court Side, college: Chicago St.) netted 15. Konrad Wysocki (201-F-82, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Princeton) delivered 20 points in the losing effort. Daniel Kickert (208-C-83, college: St.Mary's, CA) netted 19, whilst Mateusz Ponitka (196-G-93) and Walter Hodge (183-PG-86, college: Florida) added 13 each.
Polpharma grab Polish SuperCup as they stun Asseco Prokom. Both teams showed an excellent preparation for the upcoming season, while Polpharma took 79:78 victory. Polpharma surprised Prokom with 19-18 in the opening tip and even added 15-10 in the second quarter. The board showed 6-point advantage for the team from Gdansk at the halftime. In the third quarter Prokom needed 20-18 to reduce to 4 points entering the final period. Moreover they won the final quarter 30-27, but could not win the game. Michael Hicks (193-G-83, agency: Limelight Hoops, college: Cent.Missouri) top-scored for the winners with 22 points, while Ivan Koljevic (185-G-84, agency: BeoExcell) netted 21. Simmons posted 10 and Wall added 9. Alonzo Gee (198-G-87, college: Alabama) ended up with 22 points in the losing effort, whilst Zamojski delivered 19.
