The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sokol Lancut (16-5) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by fifth ranked Spojnia (13-7) 65-62. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Sokol Lancut. Sokol Lancut cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Spojnia dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Sokol Lancut's 22. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Spojnia made 7 blocks. Point guard Tomasz Ochonko (185-86) scored 15 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Hubert Pabian (202-89) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Spojnia's coach Tadeusz Aleksandrowicz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side center Maciej Klima (205-82) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds. Spojnia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with SKK Siedlce. Sokol Lancut at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Spojnia is looking forward to face league's second-placed Start Gdynia at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sokol Lancut will have a break next round. The game in Pruszkow was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Rosa Radom (12-9) played at the court of eighth ranked MKS Znicz Basket (12-8). MKS Znicz Basket managed to secure a 4-point victory 73-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rosa Radom. Forward Lukasz Bonarek (198-93) notched 17 points to lead the effort and Dominik Czubek supported him with 16 points. Even a double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds by the former international center Hubert Radke (208-80, college: Loyola, IL, agency: Limelight Hoops) did not help to save the game for Rosa Radom. MKS Znicz Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with AZS Kutno. Rosa Radom at the other side dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. In VTB United League Lampe was Center of the Year- 11. He helped Unics to win the EuroCup title averaging 15.6 points and 8.1 rebounds. Thomas Kelati spends 2012-2013 season with Valencia Basket (Spain-ACB, starting five). In EuroCup he averaged 9.8ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 43.9%, FT: 70.6%, while in Spanish league his stats now 11.4 points per game.
