Energa Torun defeated MKS Tecza Leszno 69:68 and advanced to the Final Four of the Polish Cup. It was a rematch as the first leg was easily won by Energa Torun by 20 (81:61) in Leszno. The second leg was a much closer contest but home team controlled the advance throughout whole game. This was the 4th meeting this season between those two and Energa Torun won all of them. Polish Cup tournament will be held on 3rd-4th March in Cracow (TS Wisla Can-Pack Krakow floor). TS Wisla Can-Pack Krakow, Lotos Gdynia, CCC Polkowice and Energa Torun will fight for the prize.

Belinda Snell (181-SF-81) remains with the Polish Champions for another season. The Australian player agreed terms for another season.
The forward spent 2011 season in Australia. Belinda Snell played for Sydney Uni Flames. Her stats read 19.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game in WNBL. In 2012-2013 for CCC Polkowice (Poland-PLKK, starting five) Snell averaged 14.2ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.6apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 53.2%, 3PT-3 (42.1%), FT: 89.8%. In Euroleague after 16 games her stats read 14.8ppg, 4.6rpg, 2.8apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 42.2%, 3PT: 32.8%, FT: 87.8%.

Poland needs two overtimes to beat Ukraine in Day 1 of the international Tournament Zloty Sokol. The hosts of the tournament grabbed an 87:83 win over Ukraine in their opener.

Poland needs two overtimes to beat Ukraine in Day 1 of the international Tournament Zloty Sokol. The hosts of the tournament grabbed an 87:83 win over Ukraine in their opener. Both teams posted 20 points in the first period as the battle continued until the end. Poland managed to take 1-point lead at the halftime due to 13-12 rally in the second frame. Ukraine however needed a 26-21 surge in the third quarter for their lead, but Poland tied the game after 13-9 in the fourth quarter. In the first extra time both teams scored 7 points, while Poland grabbed the victory due to 13-9 in the second overtime. Agnieszka Skobel (179-F-89) top-scored for the winners with 19 points and Magdalena Leciejewska (191-C-86) netted 15. Magdalena Skorek (177-G-84, agency: Data Plus Group) delivered 14, while Agnieszka Majewska (195-C-82) had 11. Tomorrow Ukraine will take on Belarus, while Poland will play against Lithuania.

Basket ROW Rybnik announced the first signing for the next season. The Polish team agreed terms with Martyna Stelmach (188-F/C-92).
Martyna Stelmach was born in Zabrze and she started her basketball career in local club MKS Zabrze. Martyna Stelmach graduated SMS PZKosz Lomianki special polish high school for young talented women's basketball players. She had been playing for schools team in polish 1 liga. She averaged 9,8 points and 9,8 rebounds [read more]

Currently she is the part of Polish U20 NT. The season 2012-2013 she started for KK ROW Rybnik (PLKK) and after 4 games averaged 2.0ppg, 2.5rpg, 1.0spg. Then the team withdrew from PLKK in Nov.'12, and she moved to ITS Sleza Wroclaw (1Liga, starting five).
