The game between third ranked MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza (14-8) and fourth ranked SKK Siedlce (14-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza was defeated by SKK Siedlce in a tough game in Siedlce 58-66. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza trailed by 18 points after 3 quarters before a 23-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 58-66 at the end of the game. SKK Siedlce forced 26 MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Radoslaw Basinski (188-78) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Swingman Michal Przybylski (194-84) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Rafal Kulikowski (204-85) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. SKK Siedlce have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. SKK Siedlce are looking forward to face MKS Znicz Basket (#5) in Pruszkow in the next round. MMKS Dabrowa Gornicza will play at home against Sportino in Inowroclaw and is hoping to win this game.
The game in Stargard was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Start Gdynia (16-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Spojnia (13-9). Start Gdynia did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 76-59. The former international swingman Mateusz Kostrzewski (201-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Tomasz Wojdyla contributed with 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Start Gdynia's coach Pawel Turkiewicz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Adam Parzych (190-86, college: Bryant) answered with 14 points, 5 assists and 6 steals for Spojnia. Start Gdynia maintains second place with 16-6 record having just -1 point less than leader Sokol Lancut. Spojnia at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Rosa Radom. Start Gdynia will play against league's leader Sokol Lancut at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spojnia will play against Olimp MKS Start Lublin (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MKS Znicz Basket have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Sudety stay dead last with 19 lost games. MKS Znicz Basket will meet at home higher ranked SKK Siedlce (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sudety will play against P.Cukier SIDEn (#10) in Torun and hope to secure a win.

Other games of round 23 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
P.Cukier SIDEn was crushed by Rosa Radom in a road game 77-50. MOSiR Krosno smashed AZS Szczecin at home 84-65. AZS Kutno lost to Polonia on the opponent's court 68-77. Sportino outscored Start Lublin in a home game 84-61.
The best stats of 23th round was 21 points, 8 assists and 4 steals by Francis Jonathan Han of Sportino.

The game with biggest result difference took place in Jelenia Gora. Local Sudety (3-19) was outscored by sixth ranked MKS Znicz Basket (13-8) 83-49 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 49-14 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. MKS Znicz Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding Sudety to just 6 points in third quarter and to 14 points in second half. MKS Znicz Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Sudety's 26 and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. MKS Znicz Basket forced 22 Sudety turnovers and had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MKS Znicz Basket made 12 blocks. There was no surprise when 10th ranked P.Cukier SIDEn (10-11) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Rosa Radom (13-9) 77-50 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rosa Radom. P.Cukier SIDEn managed to win third quarter 26-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding P.Cukier SIDEn to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Rosa Radom dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to P.Cukier SIDEn's 22. Rosa Radom forced 23 P.Cukier SIDEn turnovers and outrebounded them 39-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Rosa Radom made 10 blocks. It was a great evening for Marcin Kosinski who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists. Guard Artur Donigiewicz (185-84) helped adding 15 points. Center Lukasz Kwiatkowski (207-79) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and guard Jacek Jarecki (197-88) scored 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rosa Radom moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Spojnia. Newly promoted P.Cukier SIDEn keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Rosa Radom will meet AZS Szczecin (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked MOSiR Krosno (5-18) smashed at home 11th ranked AZS Szczecin (9-12) 84-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. MOSiR Krosno led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Szczecin's 26. MOSiR Krosno forced 29 AZS Szczecin turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MOSiR Krosno made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for forward Slawomir Nowak (198-77) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Piotr Pluta (192-81, agency: Court Side) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five MOSiR Krosno players scored in double figures. There was a minor upset in Przemysl where 7th ranked AZS Kutno (12-10) was defeated by ninth ranked Polonia (12-10) 77-68 on Saturday. Polonia made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 AZS Kutno turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for guard Michal Musijowski (180-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. The former international power forward Marek Miszczuk (212-77) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Polonia players scored in double figures. Swingman Grzegorz Malecki (197-84) responded with 23 points and 4 blocks and guard Dawid Brek (185-89) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Polonia moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated AZS Kutno. Spojnia - Start Gdynia 59-76

The game in Stargard was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Start Gdynia (16-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Spojnia (13-9). Start Gdynia did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 76-59. The game was mostly controlled by Start Gdynia. Spojnia was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Start Gdynia dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Spojnia's 28. They outrebounded Spojnia 34-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. Start Gdynia brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. The former international swingman Mateusz Kostrzewski (201-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. Forward Tomasz Wojdyla (201-77) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Four Start Gdynia players scored in double figures. Start Gdynia's coach Pawel Turkiewicz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Adam Parzych (190-86, college: Bryant) answered with 14 points, 5 assists and 6 steals and guard Tomasz Stepien (193-86) added 12 points in the effort for Spojnia. Start Gdynia maintains second place with 16-6 record having just -1 point less than leader Sokol Lancut. Spojnia at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Rosa Radom. Start Gdynia will play against league's leader Sokol Lancut at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
