PLK round 1 caused change at the leadership position. Anwil (0-1) against Asseco Prokom (1-0) 82-61 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Anwil. The game without a history. Asseco Prokom led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 5 assists. Lithuanian power forward Donatas Motiejunas (213-90, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Asseco Prokom's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Corsley Edwards (205-79, college: Cent.Conn.St.) answered with 19 points for Anwil. Defending champion keeps a position of Group A leader, which they share with Energa Czarni. Anwil at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with PGE Turow. They were replaced at the leadership position by Slask Wroclaw. Anwil will play next round against strong Trefl Sopot trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
