Asseco Prokom defended their PLK title. Again. They are now holding nine straight PLK titles extending their dominance in the Polish basketball. Asseco Prokom held off ambitious Trefl Sopot in Gdynia tonight to win the title series 4-3. Jerel Blassingame (175-G-81, college: UNLV) was named PLK Finals MVP. Asseco Prokom build the decisive lead in the first half. They were up by four points 20:16 after ten minutes. But the second quarter propelled to much more comfortable advantage. The hosts limited Trefl Sopot to just 9 points in the period building a 43:25 halftime lead. The visitors tried to revive the intrigue after the long break. Trefl Sopot added offensive aggressiveness and knocked down 24 points in the third period. They cut the margin to 13 points before the fourth frame. Trefl Sopot narrowed the gap even more but eventually it proved too deep to overcome as Asseco Prokom rallied to the victory. Donatas Motiejunas (213-F/C-90, agency: Interperformances) posted 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Jerel Blassingame chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the winning case. Filip Dylewicz (202-F-80) answered with 22 points for Trefl Sopot. Lukasz Koszarek (187-G-84) nailed 16 points in defeat.

PGE Turow used overtime to defeat Anwil in the fourth game of the semifinal series. The victory propelled PGE Turow into the TBL Final. Naturalized French forward Aaron Cel (203-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. He returned to the court at the end of February averaging 12.4 points and 5.1 rebounds for 21 games. The center picked up few important awards: Eurobasket.com All-Spanish ACB Newcomer of the Year -12, Eurobasket.com All-Spanish ACB 3rd Team -12 and Eurobasket.com Spanish ACB All-Bosmans Team -12. Lampe had amazing 2010/11 season with Unics Kazan. He was named Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Player of the Year -11 and also Eurobasket.com All-Russian PBL Player of the Year -11. In VTB United League Lampe was Center of the Year- 11. He helped Unics to win the EuroCup title averaging 15.6 points and 8.1 rebounds. Thomas Kelati spends 2012-2013 season with Valencia Basket (Spain-ACB, starting five). In EuroCup he averaged 9.8ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 43.9%, FT: 70.6%, while in Spanish league his stats now 11.4 points per game.
