Martyna Koc (186-C-83, agency: Promotex) is a new member of Energa Torun. The Polish National Team center signed a one-year deal with the club. Koc arrives to Energa Torun from Artego Bydgoszcz, where she spent this season. She appeared 33 times in PLKK collecting 9.8 ppg, 5.1 rpg and 1.1 apg. The center participated at the PLKK All-Star Game. Before Bydgoszcz, Martyna Koc spent one year from Blachy Pruszynski Lider Pruszkow. There she had 6.4 ppg and 4 rpg for 29 games in the league. Koc also has experience from Utex Row Rybnik, PKM Duda Super Pol Leszno, Odra Brzeg and Sure Shot Wolomin. In 2008, Koc reached PLKK Semifinals with Leszno. Martyna Koc is selected to the final roster of Polish NT for the 2013 EuroBasket Qualifications.

Polish U20 and University National Teams played two test games on Sunday and Monday. They exchanged victories.
The first game ended with U20 selection claiming a 44:39 victory. University National Team enjoyed a 37:33 lead heading into the fourth frame. Agnieszka Sniezek (176-G-91) and Claudia Sosnowska (186-F-90) replied with 8 points each for University National Team. Next day the University NT rebounded with a 52:49 victory. They trailed by as many as 10 points after the opening quarter. But University selection went on 15:4 run in the second frame to pull ahead. The teams traded baskets throughout the third term before the University NT pulled away with a narrow victory late in regulation. Claudia Sosnowska and Agata Szczepanik (194-PF-92) tossed in 14 points each for the winners. Dominika Miloszewska responded with 9 points for U20 team.

Poland advanced into 2015 EuroBasket Qualifying Round Final. They outgunned Bulgaria in Wladyslawowo by 21 points and secure the appearance in the next round. Paulina Misiek (182-F-87, agency: Promotex) scored 12 points to pace the winners.

The hosts limited Bulgaria to 7 points in the first ten minutes to take 8-point lead. Poland kept on extending the lead in the second frame. The hosts arrived at halftime up by as many as 20 points 36:16. Poland did not slow down in the third term. They ignited a 22:11 rally to open a massive 31-point lead heading into the fourth period. Bulgaria tried hard to come back into the contest but Poland kept them at safe distance and secure the needed win at the end. Agnieszka Majewska (195-C-82) posted 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Weronika Idczak (177-G-89) tossed in 11 points for the winning side. Milena Tomova (189-F/C-82, college: FIU) answered with 10 points for Bulgaria. Stefka Miteva (190-C-89) had 9 points in the loss.
Gorzow have secured the services of Chineze Nwagbo (183-G-82, college: Syracuse) for another season. The guard will enter her second straight season with the Polish team. Last season Chineze Nwagbo averaged 15.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.9 steals, 1.5 assists per game in PLKK. Previously Chineze Nwagbo had stints in Spain, Portugal. She was named All-Portuguese League Player of the Year in 2011. Last season Chineze Nwagbo earned All-Polish PLKK Honourable Mention. [read more]
