The Regular Season in TBL just started. There was no lack of interesting games this round.
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Kotwica (0-1) in Kolobrzeg on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Anwil (1-0) 81-69. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 34-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Anwil well out of reach of Kotwica shooting 73.2 percent from the field. American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-G/F-87, agency: Interperformances, college: N.Carolina) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds. Anwil's coach Dainius Adomaitis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Sean Mosley (193-89, college: Maryland) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Anwil is looking forward to face Stelmet ZG in Zielona Gora in the next round. Kotwica will play on the road against Siarka Jezioro in Tarnobrzeg and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Important game to mention about took place in Koszalin. Siarka Jezioro (1-0) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging AZS Koszalin (0-1) 78-77 on Saturday evening.
