The Regular Season in 1Liga just started.

Stal Ostrow - MOSiR Krosno 80-66

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of MOSiR Krosno (0-1) in Ostrow Wlkp.. Visitors were defeated by Stal Ostrow (1-0) 80-66. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Stal Ostrow forced 29 MOSiR Krosno turnovers and outrebounded them 49-23 including a 19-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Marek Szumelda-Krzycki (193-91, agency: Promotex) accounted for 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Piotr Pluta (192-81, agency: Court Side) came up with 23 points and 4 blocks and point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively for MOSiR Krosno in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stal Ostrow will play against Spojnia in Stargard in the next round. MOSiR Krosno will play at home against WIKANA Start in Lublin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Quite upsetting was Astoria Bydg.'s home defeat in a game versus Polonia 68-60. The guests trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 23-5 charge, which allowed them to win the game.
