There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in 1Liga. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with loss of the undefeated team and favorites losing the games.

The most surprising game was the first loss of WIKANA Start (1-1) on the court of MOSiR Krosno on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by MOSiR Krosno 86-71. The game was mostly controlled by MOSiR Krosno. WIKANA Start managed to win fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MOSiR Krosno made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 WIKANA Start turnovers and outrebounded them 35-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MOSiR Krosno made 7 blocks. Guard Piotr Pluta (192-81, agency: Court Side) scored 25 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Wojciech Pisarczyk (201-88) chipped in 16 points during the contest. MOSiR Krosno's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Tomasz Celej (198-78, agency: Promotex) responded with 30 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). MOSiR Krosno is looking forward to face SKK Siedlce on the road in the next round. WIKANA Start will play against Spojnia in Stargard and is hoping to win this game.
Very significant was Stal Ostrow's 24-point road victory against Spojnia 75-51. Power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Lukasz Olejnik supported him with 15 points. Even 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks by the former international center Wiktor Grudzinski (208-78) did not help to save the game for Spojnia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stal Ostrow will play against Astoria Bydg. in Bydgoszcz in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Spojnia will play on the road against WIKANA Start in Lublin to get more than just one victory in their record.
Very important is a home loss of Polonia (1-1) against UMKS Kielce (1-1) on Wednesday night. Host Polonia was edged by UMKS Kielce in a tough game in Przemysl 64-65. The best player for the winners was Marcin Wrobel who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Artur Mikolajko produced 9 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. UMKS Kielce will meet at home AZS Kutno in the next round. Polonia will play against Slask Wroclaw.
P.Cukier SIDEn (2-0) defeated one of their biggest challengers Sokol Lancut (1-1) 72-64. Jacek Jarecki orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. P.Cukier SIDEn's next round opponent will be MKS DG in Dabrowa Gornicza and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sokol Lancut will play at home against AZS Radex in Szczecin.
Astoria Bydg. (0-2) was outscored at home by Slask Wroclaw (1-1) with the biggest margin this round 92-61 on Wednesday night. Lukasz Diduszko had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Slask Wroclaw will face Polonia in Przemysl in the next round where they are favorite. Astoria Bydg. will play on the road against Stal Ostrow in Ostrow Wlkp..

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 2: MKS DG won against AZS PP on the opponent's court 71-64. AZS Kutno managed to outperform Znicz Basket in a home game 80-74. SKK Siedlce managed to beat AZS Radex on the road 67-58.
