It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in 1Liga, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

Round 4 in 1Liga means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Wroclaw where host Slask Wroclaw (3-1) beat league's leader Stal Ostrow (3-1) 88-72 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stal Ostrow. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Slask Wroclaw. Stal Ostrow managed to win second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Slask Wroclaw made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 Stal Ostrow turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Slask Wroclaw made 20 blocks. Point guard Marcin Flieger (182-84, agency: Promotex) fired 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Lukasz Diduszko (197-86) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Power forward Lukasz Olejnik (203-79) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slask Wroclaw have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Stal Ostrow. Stal Ostrow will play next round against Polonia trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Slask Wroclaw will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked WIKANA Start in Lublin.
Undefeated MKS DG (3-1) recorded its first loss in Szczecin. Visitors were defeated by sixteenth ranked AZS Radex (1-3) 70-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of MKS DG. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Krzysztof Mielczarek (198-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Maciej Raczynski contributed with 14 points for the winners. AZS Radex's coach Zbigniew Majcherek allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (178-93) replied with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals for MKS DG. AZS Radex left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. MKS DG at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with 5 other teams. AZS Radex will play against higher ranked Znicz Basket (#7) in Pruszkow in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. MKS DG will play at home against MOSiR Krosno (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Astoria Bydg. can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat WIKANA Start (1-3) 83-81 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Dorian Szyttenholm who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Astoria Bydg.'s coach Jaroslaw Zawadka used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Przemyslaw Luszczewski responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds. Astoria Bydg. left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated WIKANA Start. It was WIKANA Start's third loss in a row. Astoria Bydg. will meet higher ranked SKK Siedlce (#8) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. WIKANA Start will play against the league's leader Slask Wroclaw (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
Bottom-ranked AZS PP (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-65 loss to eleventh ranked UMKS Kielce (2-2) in Pozoan. The winners were led by Artur Busz who scored that evening 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UMKS Kielce moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. AZS PP at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with four games lost. UMKS Kielce's next round opponent will be higher ranked P.Cukier SIDEn (#5) in Torun and it may be quite challenging game. AZS PP will play on the road against AZS Kutno (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Przemysl. Local Polonia (1-3) was outscored by fourth ranked AZS Kutno (3-1) 85-58 on Saturday night. Jakub Dluski fired 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS Kutno have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 5 other teams. Polonia lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with three games lost. AZS Kutno will face bottom-ranked AZS PP (#16) in Pozoan in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Polonia will play on the road against Stal Ostrow (#3) in Ostrow Wlkp..

Rest of the games of round 4 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Znicz Basket was defeated by P.Cukier SIDEn in Torun 58-54. Spojnia was beaten by SKK Siedlce at home 57-69. Sokol Lancut lost to MOSiR Krosno on the opponent's court 65-77.
