#1. This week's number one is former international guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis, currently plays in Israel). He led Maccabi T-A to a victory over the closely-ranked Maccabi Haifa (2-2) crushing them 87-67 in the Israeli Winner League in Sunday night's game.
Logan was MVP of the game. He recorded 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in 23 minutes on the court.
Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv (3-1) is placed sixth in the Winner League.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
It's Logan's first year with the team.
Logan has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.5apg, 2FGP: 66.7%, 3FGP: 45.8%(11-24) and FT: 69.2% in the four games he played so far.
Logan is a naturalized American.
He played for the Polish senior national team three years ago.
Logan used to play for WTK Anwil Wloclawek in Polish league.
#2. Second place goes to an international center Marcin Gortat (211-84, currently plays in NBA). He was the major contributor in a Phoenix Suns' victory against the Charlotte Bobcats (1-3) 117-110 in the NBA last Wednesday.
Gortat recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 7 blocks.
The Phoenix Suns have 3-3 record this season.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
This year Gortat has very high stats. He averages: 14.5ppg, 11.2rpg, 4.3bpg and FT: 69.2%.
Gortat is in the roster of the Polish senior national team.
#3. The Polish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Michal Ignerski (207-80, agency: Stanley International, college: Mississippi St., currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA. He could not help Banco di Sardegna Sassari (5-1) in their last game. Despite Ignerski's good performance Banco di Sardegna Sassari lost 78-90 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#14) Enel Brindisi.
He was the second best scorer with 13 points. Ignerski also added 5 rebounds in 26 minutes.
They ended the series of five consecutive victories.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
It's Ignerski's first year with the team.
He has relatively good stats this season: 12.3ppg, 5.3rpg, 2FGP: 45.2%, 3FGP: 34.4% and FT: 72.2% in the six games.
Ignerski is also a member of the Polish senior national team.
#4. Power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85, currently plays in Spain) contributed to a Caja Laboral's victory against the 11th-ranked Regal FC Barcelona (3-3) 80-69 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game.
He scored 15 points.
Caja Laboral Vitoria (4-2) is placed fourth in the ACB.
But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go.
This season Lampe has relatively solid stats: 12.8ppg and 4.0rpg.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and Swedish.
Lampe is also Polish national team player.
#5. Former U20 international forward Olek Czyz (200-90, agency: Priority Sports, college: Nevada, currently plays in Italy) helped Lottomatica Roma win their game against the 11th-ranked Vanoli Cremona (2-4) 75-67 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night.
Czyz scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
Acea Virtus Roma (4-2) is placed sixth in the SerieA.
It's Czyz's first season with the team.
He has reliable stats this year: 10.2ppg and 4.0rpg.
Czyz used to play for the Polish U20 national team
two years ago.
#6. Center Przemyslaw Karnowski (216-93, currently plays in NCAA1) helped Gonzaga win their game against the Southern Utah University crushing them 103-65 in the NCAA last Friday.
Karnowski recorded 22 points.
The Gonzaga University has 0-0 conference record this season.
Karnowski's overall stats this year are: 9.0ppg and 2.3rpg.
He is an international player who is currently on the senior Polish National Team roster.
#7. International power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90, currently plays in Italy) was the main contributor in Torino's victory against one of league's weakest teams Liomatic Viola Reggio Calabria (1-7) 71-56 in the Italian Nazionale A (third division) on Sunday night.
Wojciechowski was the best player in that game. He scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 23 minutes.
PMS Torino (6-2) is placed third in the Nazionale A.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
Wojciechowski has very impressive stats this year: 15.5ppg, 7.8rpg and 1.1spg in the eight games.
He is also Polish national team player.
#8. Center Pawel Mroz (215-84, currently plays in Czech Republic) helped Basketbal Svitavy win their game against the closely-ranked Levharti Chomutov (2-6) 87-77 in the Czech Republic NBL in Saturday night's game.
Mroz recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 2 blocks.
Turi Svitavy (3-6) is placed ninth in the NBL.
Mroz's stats this season are: 11.4ppg and 6.2rpg.
He used to play for the Polish U18 national team
back in 2002.
#9. An experienced former international center Michal Hlebowicki (204-76, currently plays in Latvia) was not able to help Jekabpils (2-5) in their game against Valmiera (5-1) in the Latvian LBL.
Hlebowicki scored 8 points, grabbed 9 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 27 minutes.
Jekabpils was crushed 96-55 on the opponent's court by the second-ranked Valmiera.
This year Hlebowicki's overall stats are: 7.1ppg and 5.3rpg in the seven games.

#10. Power forward Jakub Parzenski (212-91, currently plays in Italy) managed to help SAIE3 Bologna to win against the league outsider Angelico Biella (1-5) 89-75 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night.
Parzenski scored only 2 points.
SAIE3 Bologna (4-2) is placed fifth in the SerieA.

He is U20 international player as one years ago he still played for the Polish national team.
#11. International center Szymon Szewczyk (209-82, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Umana Venezia in their game against Sutor Montegranaro in the Italian SerieA.

But EWE Baskets was crushed 90-57 on the road by the lower-ranked (#10) Telekom Baskets.
It was EWE Baskets' first loss after four consecutive victories.
This year Wysocki's overall stats are: 7.1ppg and 3.6rpg in the seven games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and German.
#2.Vitaliy Kovalenko (203-F-84, currently plays in Ukraine) was not able to help Khimik (9-3) in their game against DniproAzot (3-8) in the Ukrainian Superleague.
He recorded 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 21 minutes.
Khimik lost 78-83 in Dniprodzerzhynsk to the much lower-ranked (#12) DniproAzot.
It was Khimik's first loss after three consecutive victories.
This year Kovalenko's overall stats are: 9.0ppg and 2.3rpg in the 12 games.
He is another player who holds two passports: Polish and Ukrainian.
#3.David Michalczyk (180-PG-89, currently plays in Germany) contributed to Hanau's victory against the fourth-ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (4-2) 85-80 in the German ProB (third division) on Saturday night.
Michalczyk scored 6 points and added 3 passes in 20 minutes.
TG 1837 White Wings Hanau (5-1) is placed second in Group South.
Michalczyk has averaged so far 2.7ppg and 3.7apg in the three games.
He has both Polish and German nationalities.
#4.Dominik Malinowski (198-SG-91, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for SG Schwelmer Baskets (5-1) in their game against Herten Lions (5-1) in the German ProB (third division). Malinowski cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
He scored only 2 points.
The third-placed SG Schwelmer Baskets was defeated 93-88 in Herten by the second-ranked Lions in the Group North.
It was SG Schwelmer Baskets' first loss after six consecutive victories.

The eighth-placed Tabare lost 68-79 at home to the higher-ranked (#4) Union Atletica in the Capital group.

#6.Maciej Baginski (195-SF-95, currently plays in Iceland) couldn't help Njardvik in their game against KR in the Icelandic Dominos League. Baginski cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones.

His team was badly defeated by 17 points 87-70.
Baginski has averaged so far 7.0ppg and 3.2rpg.
He has Polish and Icelandic nationalities.

It was a good game for American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Serbian power forward Oliver Stevic (204-84, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Stelmet ZG players scored in double figures. American guard Sek Henry (193-87, college: Nebraska) answered with 11 points and 5 assists and the former international forward Bartlomiej Woloszyn (196-86) added 16 points in the effort for AZS Koszalin. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. PGE Turow was better in third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian point guard Arvydas Eitutavicius (188-82, college: his fellow American import) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Ivan Zigeranovic (212-84, agency: BeoExcell) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized French forward Aaron Cel (203-87) scored 12 points. PGE Turow's coach Miodrag Rajkovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lampe had amazing 2010/11 season with Unics Kazan. He was named Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Player of the Year -11 and also Eurobasket.com All-Russian PBL Player of the Year -11. In VTB United League Lampe was Center of the Year- 11. He helped Unics to win the EuroCup title averaging 15.6 points and 8.1 rebounds. Thomas Kelati spends 2012-2013 season with Valencia Basket (Spain-ACB, starting five). In EuroCup he averaged 9.8ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 43.9%, FT: 70.6%, while in Spanish league his stats now 11.4 points per game.
