The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, extra overtimes, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

1Liga round 8 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader MKS DG (6-2) against second ranked Slask Wroclaw (7-1) 94-62 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of MKS DG. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game without a history. Slask Wroclaw led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by MKS DG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Marcin Flieger (182-84, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Lukasz Diduszko (197-86) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. point guard Grzegorz Grochowski (178-93) replied with 18 points for MKS DG. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Slask Wroclaw have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. MKS DG at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with AZS Kutno and Stal Ostrow. They were replaced at the leadership position by Slask Wroclaw. MKS DG will play next round against strong Stal Ostrow trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Slask Wroclaw will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Znicz Basket in Pruszkow.
Another interesting game for AZS Kutno (6-2) which played on the court of MOSiR Krosno (5-3). Fifth ranked AZS Kutno won 87-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MOSiR Krosno. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jakub Dluski (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and Dawid Brek who added 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. AZS Kutno's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. AZS Kutno moved-up to second place, which they share with MKS DG and Stal Ostrow. MOSiR Krosno at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with P.Cukier SIDEn. AZS Kutno will play against Spojnia (#9) in Stargard in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MOSiR Krosno will play on the road against AZS PP (#16) in Pozoan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked P.Cukier SIDEn in a game in Przemysl versus Polonia (#8) 80-74. The winners were led by Grzegorz Kukielka who scored that evening 22 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 11 points and 19 rebounds by Adam Lisewski did not help to save the game for P.Cukier SIDEn. Polonia (4-4) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Sokol Lancut. Loser P.Cukier SIDEn keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with MOSiR Krosno. Polonia will meet SKK Siedlce (#11) on the road in the next round. P.Cukier SIDEn will play against AZS Radex (#14) in Szczecin and hope to secure a win.
Higher ranked SKK Siedlce (3-5) fell to fourteenth ranked WIKANA Start (3-5) in overtime by eleven points 74-85. The game took place in Siedlce. But the guests from Lublin were better at the end. The best player for the winners was Tomasz Celej who scored 31 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. WIKANA Start moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated SKK Siedlce. SKK Siedlce lost third consecutive game. WIKANA Start's next round opponent will be higher ranked Sokol Lancut (#8) on the road and it may be quite challenging game.
Important game to mention about took place in Bydgoszcz. Fifteenth ranked Astoria Bydg. (2-6) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Znicz Basket (3-5) 82-80 on Saturday evening. Sebastian Laydych orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Astoria Bydg.'s coach Jaroslaw Zawadka used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game.
