The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

TBL round 8 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Trefl Sopot (6-2) against third ranked Energa Czarni (6-2) 78-72 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trefl Sopot. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 24-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American center Bertengeh Gadri-Nicholson (208-C-83, college: Denver) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import point guard Todd Abernethy (185-84, college: Mississippi) contributed with 15 points and 9 assists for the winners. American point guard Frank Turner (178-88, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) replied with 18 points and 4 assists for Trefl Sopot. Trefl Sopot's coach Zan Tabak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Energa Czarni have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Trefl Sopot. Trefl Sopot will play next round against Anwil trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Energa Czarni will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Rosa Radom at home.
Important game to mention about took place in Gdynia. Seventh ranked Anwil (4-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Asseco Prok. (4-3) 75-72 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and Tony Weeden who added 24 points during the contest. American guard Alex Acker (196-83, college: Pepperdine) responded with 19 points. Asseco Prok.'s coach Kestutis Kemzura tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Anwil have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 4-4 record. Defending champion Asseco Prok. keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Anwil will play against league's second-placed Trefl Sopot at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
