The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

TBL round 8 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Trefl Sopot (6-2) against third ranked Energa Czarni (6-2) 78-72 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trefl Sopot. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 24-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American center Bertengeh Gadri-Nicholson (208-C-83, college: Denver) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import point guard Todd Abernethy (185-84, college: Mississippi) contributed with 15 points and 9 assists for the winners. American point guard Frank Turner (178-88, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) replied with 18 points and 4 assists for Trefl Sopot. Trefl Sopot's coach Zan Tabak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Energa Czarni have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Trefl Sopot. Trefl Sopot will play next round against Anwil trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Energa Czarni will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Rosa Radom at home.
Important game to mention about took place in Gdynia. Seventh ranked Anwil (4-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Asseco Prok. (4-3) 75-72 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and Tony Weeden who added 24 points during the contest. American guard Alex Acker (196-83, college: Pepperdine) responded with 19 points. Asseco Prok.'s coach Kestutis Kemzura tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Anwil have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 4-4 record. Defending champion Asseco Prok. keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Anwil will play against league's second-placed Trefl Sopot at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Asseco Prok. will play against Siarka Jezioro (#11) in Tarnobrzeg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Stelmet ZG (5-3) against ninth ranked Kotwica (3-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Stelmet ZG was defeated by Kotwica in Kolobrzeg 85-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Stelmet ZG. The winners were led by Sean Mosley who scored that evening 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 21 points by Walter Hodge did not help to save the game for Stelmet ZG. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kotwica moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Polpharma. Stelmet ZG at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with AZS Koszalin. Kotwica will meet higher ranked PGE Turow (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Stelmet ZG will play against Polpharma in Starogard and hope to secure a win.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked PGE Turow (5-2) against sixth ranked AZS Koszalin (5-3) on Saturday night. Visiting PGE Turow was defeated by AZS Koszalin in a tough game in Koszalin 79-85. The best player for the winners was Lukasz Wisniewski who scored 22 points. PGE Turow's coach Miodrag Rajkovic let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. AZS Koszalin moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Stelmet ZG. PGE Turow at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. AZS Koszalin's next round opponent will be Rosa Radom (#10) on the road where they are favorite. PGE Turow will play against Kotwica (#8) in Kolobrzeg.
Bottom-ranked Start Gdynia managed to get a second victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Start Gdynia edged tenth-ranked Rosa Radom 63-61. Patryk Pelka orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Start Gdynia (2-6) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Siarka Jezioro and Rosa Radom. Rosa Radom lost third consecutive game. Start Gdynia will face league's leader Energa Czarni in Slupsk in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.

In the last game of round 8 Siarka Jezioro was beaten by Polpharma on the road 79-68.

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Stelmet ZG (5-3) against ninth ranked Kotwica (3-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Stelmet ZG was defeated by Kotwica in Kolobrzeg 85-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Stelmet ZG. The game was mostly controlled by Kotwica. Stelmet ZG managed to win second period 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Kotwica had a 31-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American guard Sean Mosley (193-89, college: Maryland) who scored that evening 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Corey Jefferson (183-85, college: Texas St.) supported him with 18 points and 7 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Bottom-ranked Start Gdynia managed to get a second victory, breaking the three-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Start Gdynia edged tenth-ranked Rosa Radom 63-61. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rosa Radom won third quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Rosa Radom 47-24 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Patryk Pelka (202-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Grzegorz Mordzak (183-77, agency: Promotex) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Guard Artur Donigiewicz (185-84) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Slaven Cupkovic (205-88, agency: BeoExcell) added 14 points in the effort for Rosa Radom. Very important is a road loss of second ranked PGE Turow (5-2) against sixth ranked AZS Koszalin (5-3) on Saturday night. This time Polpharma used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Tarnobrzeg 79-68 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Polpharma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Polpharma forced 19 Siarka Jezioro turnovers. Siarka Jezioro was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import point guard Jawan Carter (180-87, college: Delaware) contributed with 23 points and 4 assists for the winners. Polpharma's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
