The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader and games ending by tiny margin.

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Pogon Prudnik (7-1) in Katowice on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by second ranked AZS AWF K-ce (6-1) 94-67. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Pogon Prudnik. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 18-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-67. AZS AWF K-ce shot 60.9 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Forward Kamil Nowak (196-F-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Marcin Ecka (184-78) contributed with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Tomasz Madziar (195-92) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds for Pogon Prudnik. AZS AWF K-ce have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-1 record having just -1 victories less than leader MCKiS Jaworz. Pogon Prudnik at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. AZS AWF K-ce are looking forward to face Alba Chorzow (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pogon Prudnik will have a break next round.
Another interesting game for Tychy (5-2) which played in Jelenia Gora against Sudety (4-3). Third ranked Tychy had an easy win 83-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sudety. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Grzegorz Remin (192-82) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and Tomasz Bzdyra who added 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. point guard Michal Kozak (179-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Tychy have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Tychy maintains third position with 5-2 record having just -1 point less than leader MCKiS Jaworz., which they share with GTK Gliwice. Sudety at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with HK Zory and WKK Wroclaw. Tychy will play against Wschowa (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sudety will play against GTK Gliwice (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Wschowa is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to sixth ranked HK Zory (4-3) 80-63 on Saturday evening. The winners were led by Adam Bialdyga who scored that evening 17 points. Even a double-double of 14 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists by Pawel Jaworski did not help to save the game for Wschowa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. HK Zory moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sudety and WKK Wroclaw. Newly promoted Wschowa still closes the standings with seven games lost. HK Zory will meet at home WKK Wroclaw (#6) in the next round. Wschowa will play against Tychy (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Katowice was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked GTK Gliwice (5-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Mickiewicz (2-6). GTK Gliwice managed to secure a 6-point victory 88-82. The best player for the winners was Pawel Szymanski who scored 28 points. GTK Gliwice's coach Grzegorz Pinkowski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. GTK Gliwice moved-up to third place, which they share with Tychy. Mickiewicz lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. GTK Gliwice's next round opponent will be Sudety (#5) in Jelenia Gora. Mickiewicz will play on the road against Nysa Klodzko in Kloszko and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Sopot was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Basket Pila (3-3) played at the court of seventh ranked Trefl II Sopot (3-3). Trefl II Sopot managed to secure a 7-point victory 58-51 on Sunday. David Brembly orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points and 9 rebounds. Basket Pila's coach Janusz Wierzbicki rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trefl II Sopot moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Basket Pila. Trefl II Sopot will face league's second-placed Wilki Morskie in Szczecin in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Basket Pila will play at home against SMS PZKosz in Wladyslawowo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 8 GTK Gdynia beat Notec on the road 84-82. WKK Wroclaw destroyed Alba Chorzow on its own court 99-72.
The most impressive performance of 8th round was 36 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds by Mikolaj Grod of Notec.

Everything could happen in Inowroclaw at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked GTK Gdynia and 9th ranked Notec had identical 1-4 record.
