Stal Ostrow's coach Mikolaj Czaja rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Znicz Basket moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Start Lublin and Spojnia. Newly promoted Stal Ostrow keeps the third position with three games lost. Znicz Basket is looking forward to face WIKANA Start (#12) in Lublin in the next round. Polonia - AZS Radex 75-93

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Przemysl where 8th ranked Polonia (5-5) was defeated by ninth ranked AZS Radex (5-5) 93-75. It looked good early as Polonia took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then AZS Radex had a 28-15 second period charge getting the lead and Polonia was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-93. Point guard Lukasz Pacocha (182-82, agency: Promotex) notched 20 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) to lead the effort and swingman Krzysztof Mielczarek (198-81) supported him with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five AZS Radex players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks by center Dariusz Wyka (207-91) did not help to save the game for Polonia. The former international guard Grzegorz Kukielka (192-83, agency: Promotex) added 18 points for lost side. Polonia's coach Maciej Milan tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. AZS Radex have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Polonia. AZS Radex's next round opponent will be higher ranked MOSiR Krosno (#6) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
