The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Wilki Morskie as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A. Wilki Morskie smashed 5th ranked Trefl II Sopot in Szczecin 65-45. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trefl II Sopot. The game was mostly controlled by Wilki Morskie. Trefl II Sopot managed to win second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Trefl II Sopot to just 6 points in third quarter. Wilki Morskie forced 23 Trefl II Sopot turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including 19 on the offensive glass. Power forward Pawel Kowalczuk (207-80, college: St.Francis, NY, agency: Promotex) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and forward Radoslaw Bojko (196-91) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was David Brembly (197-93) with 19 points and 5 rebounds. Trefl II Sopot's coach Marcin Lichtanski rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Wilki Morskie (6-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Trefl II Sopot at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Basket Pila. Trefl II Sopot will play next round against MKS Skierniew. trying to get back on the winning streak. Wilki Morskie will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Korsarz Gdansk on the road.
Very significant was WKK Wroclaw's (#6) 17-point road victory against 7th ranked HK Zory in Group B 81-64. Guard Bartosz Bochno (193-88) nailed 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Bartosz Diduszko accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Grzegorz Zadecki (193-83) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds for HK Zory in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. WKK Wroclaw (5-3) moved-up to fifth place in Group B. HK Zory at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Sudety. WKK Wroclaw will play against league's second-placed Tychy at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. HK Zory will play against AZS AWF K-ce (#4) in Katowice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Korsarz Gdansk (5-2) against tenth ranked Suchy Las (1-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Korsarz Gdansk was defeated by Suchy Las in a tough game in Suchy Las 68-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Korsarz Gdansk. The best player for the winners was Michal Wielechowski who scored 25 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Mateusz Nitsche who recorded 24 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Suchy Las left bottom position moving up to ninth place in Group A, which they share with Notec. Loser Korsarz Gdansk keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Ksiezak Lowicz and SMS PZKosz. Suchy Las will meet higher ranked GTK Gdynia (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Korsarz Gdansk will play against the league's leader Wilki Morskie (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.

Visiting AZS AWF K-ce was defeated by Alba Chorzow in a tough game in Chorzow 87-93. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of AZS AWF K-ce. It was a good game for Lukasz Wojcik who led his team to a victory with 30 points and 4 assists. Alba Chorzow's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba Chorzow moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Mickiewicz. AZS AWF K-ce at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Alba Chorzow's next round opponent will be league's leader Pogon Prudnik on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AZS AWF K-ce will play against HK Zory.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (5-2) against seventh ranked AZS AGH Alstom (3-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Tur Bielsk Pdl. was defeated by AZS AGH Alstom in Krakow 84-73. Michal Szewczyk stepped up and scored 29 points and 5 assists for the winners. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS AGH Alstom moved-up to fourth place in Group C, which they share with Pulaski Warka and Rosa II Radom. Loser Tur Bielsk Pdl. dropped to the third position with two games lost. AZS AGH Alstom will face Novum Lublin (#7) on the road in the next round. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play against Wisla AWF Kr. (#10) in Krakow.

In Group A SMS PZKosz won against Basket Pila on the opponent's court 91-82. Ksiezak Lowicz managed to outperform GTK Gdynia in a home game 104-90. Notec recorded a loss to MKS Skierniew. on the road 90-81.
In Group B GTK Gliwice crushed Sudety on its own court 93-71. Winless Wschowa was beaten by Tychy in a road game 64-56. Nysa Klodzko lost to Mickiewicz at home 73-79.
In Group C Novum Lublin lost to undefeated MCKiS Jaworz. on the opponent's court 66-73. Handlopex AZS rolled over Wisla AWF Kr. in a home game 85-66. Rosa II Radom was defeated by Legia on the road 76-68. Pulaski Warka was beaten by PWiK Piaseczno on its own court 81-88.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by Rafal Sebrala of Mickiewicz.

Rather expected game when 6th ranked Basket Pila (3-4) was defeated at home by fourth ranked SMS PZKosz (5-2) 91-82 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 49-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. SMS PZKosz forced 19 Basket Pila turnovers. Power forward Mikolaj Witlinski (207-95) stepped up and scored 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Jakub Garbacz (196-94) chipped in 25 points. Ksiezak Lowicz - GTK Gdynia 104-90

Very predictable result when third ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (5-2) defeated at home 8th ranked GTK Gdynia (2-5) 104-90 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Ksiezak Lowicz. GTK Gdynia was better in fourth quarter 33-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ksiezak Lowicz dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to GTK Gdynia's 44 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Ksiezak Lowicz especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists.
