The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Wilki Morskie as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A. Wilki Morskie smashed 5th ranked Trefl II Sopot in Szczecin 65-45. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trefl II Sopot. The game was mostly controlled by Wilki Morskie. Trefl II Sopot managed to win second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Trefl II Sopot to just 6 points in third quarter. There was an upset in Warszawa where higher ranked Rosa II Radom (3-4) was defeated by tenth ranked Legia (2-5) 76-68 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 16-7. But Rosa II Radom won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Legia dominated on the defensive end, holding Rosa II Radom to just 7 points in first quarter. Very important is a road loss of second ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (5-2) against seventh ranked AZS AGH Alstom (3-4) on Saturday night. #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. He could not help Caja Laboral (25-9) in their last game. Despite Lampe's very good performance Caja Laboral lost 94-99 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#10) CB Canarias.
He was the second best scorer with 25 points. Lampe also added 5 rebounds in 28 minutes on the court.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Lampe has relatively good stats this year: 13.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 2FGP: 56.0%(167-298) and FT: 84.7% in the 34 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and Swedish.
Lampe is currently a member of the Polish senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international swingman Thomas Kelati (195-82, agency: Beo Basket, college: Washington St., currently plays in Spain). He contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Assignia Manresa (6-28) crushing them 90-59 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday.
Kelati recorded 9 points.
Valencia Basket (22-12) is placed fourth in the ACB.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
They will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
It's Kelati's first season with the team.
This year he has relatively solid stats: 10.9ppg, 2.7rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 55.1%(38-69), 3FGP: 40.9% and FT: 91.9%(34-37).
Kelati is another player who holds two passports: Eritrean and Polish.
Ex-BOT Turow Zgorzelec player is in the roster of the Polish senior national team.
#3. The Polish player who performed third best last week abroad was former U18 international center Szymon Lukasiak (208-87, agency: Promotex, college: Jacksonville, currently plays in Portugal), who plays in the Portuguese LPB. He was not able to help Academica (15-5) in their last game. Despite Lukasiak's very good performance Academica was crushed 94-62 on the opponent's court by the leading Benfica.
He was the top scorer with 21 points. Lukasiak also added 5 rebounds in 26 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Lukasiak is currently fifth on the list of best blockers with 1.0bpg.
This year his other stats are: 11.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 2FGP: 63.8%(74-116) in the 14 games.
Lukasiak played for the Polish U18 national team eight years ago.
#4. Power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90, currently plays in Italy) led Torino to a victory over the fifth-ranked Casalpusterlengo (20-14) 77-66 in the Italian Nazionale A (third division) in Tuesday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Wojciechowski scored 18 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
PMS Torino (26-8) is placed first in the Nazionale A.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Wojciechowski has reliable stats this season: 14.9ppg, 8.9rpg and 1.1spg.
He has both Polish and Italian nationalities.
Wojciechowski is also Polish national team player.
#5. International forward Aleksander Czyz (200-90, agency: Priority Sports, college: Nevada, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Acea Virtus Roma to win against the closely-ranked Trenkwalder RE (18-12) 74-69 in the Italian SerieA on Friday night.
Czyz scored only 3 points.
Acea Virtus Roma (20-10) is placed third in the SerieA.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
This season Czyz averages: 6.1ppg and 3.8rpg.
He plays currently for the Polish national team.
#6. Point guard Robert Skibniewski (183-83, currently plays in Slovakia) contributed to a Inter Bratislava's victory against the closely-ranked Komarno (24-11) 89-82 in the Slovakian Extraliga in Saturday night's game.
Skibniewski scored 5 points and added 6 assists in 31 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK Inter Bratislava (20-15) is placed fourth in the Extraliga.
Skibniewski is currently seventh on the league's list of best passers with 4.5apg.
He also averaged so far 6.0ppg and 1.5rpg in the 15 games.
Skibniewski is an international player who is currently on the senior Polish National Team roster.

#1.Konrad Wysocki (201-F-82, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Princeton, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German BBL could not help EWE Baskets (25-9) to beat ratiopharm Ulm (24-10). He did not have that impressive stats last Tuesday.
Wysocki recorded only 1 points in 9 minutes on the court.
EWE Baskets was edged 86-84 at home by the lower-ranked (#3) ratiopharm Ulm.
This year Wysocki's overall stats are: 6.2ppg and 3.3rpg in the 35 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Polish and German.
#2.Francis Jonathan Han (185-G-87, college: Fairfield, currently plays in Puerto Rico) was not able to help Cangrejeros (16-8) in their game against Leones (15-8) in the Puerto Rican BSN.
He recorded 5 points.
The league leader Cangrejeros was defeated 79-75 on the road by the second-ranked Leones.
Han's overall stats this season are: 1.4ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.3apg.
He is another player who holds two passports: Polish and Puerto Rican.
