PGE Turow tastes overtime success in VTB League for 2-5 record in the standings. The Polish side grabbed an 83:81 win over BC Donetsk on Monday evening.
BC Donetsk trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 24-11 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 9-11. PGE Turow made 19-of-22 free shots during the game. Aaron Cel (203-F-87) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Damian Kulig (206-F/C-87) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. D'or Fischer (211-C-81, college: W.Virginia) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds and Ivan Radenovic (209-F-84, college: Arizona) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side.
PGE Turow moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Azovmash and CEZ Nymburk. PGE Turow will face Spartak St.Petersburg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Stelmet (16-5) in Szczecin on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by tenth ranked Wilki Morskie (11-9) 84-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stelmet. Wilki Morskie made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Taylor Brown (200-89, college: Bradley, agency: Three Eye Sports) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 7 rebounds. Stelmet and Anwil will face in Polish Cup final. Both teams celebrated victories in the semis today. Stelmet overcame PGE Turow Zgorzelec 69-64. Armani Moore (193-F-94, college: Tennessee), Vladimir Dragicevic (206-C/F-86) and Thomas Kelati (195-G/F-82, college: Washington St., agency: BeoBasket) led the winners.
