Galatasaray clinched the fourth win in EuroCup Group E. They held off Trefl Sopot in Istanbul to clinch the Last 16 stage birth. Boniface Ndong (213-C-77) came up with 14 points to lead the hosts. Trefl Sopot slipped at 1-4 record and lost chances to qualify to the next round. Galatasaray dropped 25 points in the opening quarter to take a 4-point lead. The hosts went for a 31-point haul in the second term to ensure a 56:36 halftime advantage. Trefl Sopot stepped on the gas in the third quarter. The Polish team fired 26 points and cut the deficit at 14-point mark before the final stanza. But Galatasaray accounted for 27 points in the fourth quarter and sealed a comfortable win at the end. Seven players scored in double digits for the hosts. Cenk Akyol (198-G/F-87) provided 13 points, while Jamont Gordon (193-G/F-87, college: Mississippi St.) and Engin Atsur (193-G-84, agency: Beo Basket, college: N.Carolina St.) added 12 points each for the winners. Adam Waczynski (199-G/F-89, agency: Limelight Hoops) answered with 17 points for Trefl Sopot. The game was mostly controlled by Anwil. PGE Turow was better in third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lithuanian point guard Arvydas Eitutavicius (188-82, college: his fellow American import) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Ivan Zigeranovic (212-84, agency: BeoExcell) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized French forward Aaron Cel (203-87) scored 12 points. Lampe had amazing 2010/11 season with Unics Kazan. He was named Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Player of the Year -11 and also Eurobasket.com All-Russian PBL Player of the Year -11. In VTB United League Lampe was Center of the Year- 11. He helped Unics to win the EuroCup title averaging 15.6 points and 8.1 rebounds. Thomas Kelati spends 2012-2013 season with Valencia Basket (Spain-ACB, starting five). In EuroCup he averaged 9.8ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.4apg, 1.1spg, FGP: 50.0%, 3PT: 43.9%, FT: 70.6%, while in Spanish league his stats now 11.4 points per game.
