TBL is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 11 rounds left.

Ninth-ranked Polpharma (3-8) was very close to win a game against first ranked PGE Turow (8-2) in Zgorzelec on Friday. PGE Turow managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. Polpharma trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-77 at the end of the game. Serbian guard Djordje Micic (195-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 6 assists. The former international guard Michal Chylinski (190-G-86, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) answered with 31 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for Polpharma. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. PGE Turow have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-2 record. Polpharma lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. PGE Turow are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Rosa Radom (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Polpharma will play against Trefl Sopot (#5) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
Important game to mention about took place in Wloclawek. Second ranked AZS Koszalin (8-3) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Anwil (6-5) 66-64 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Anwil. It was a great evening for American forward Jeff Robinson (198-88, college: Seton Hall) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. Robert Skibniewski helped adding 15 points. American swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Anwil's coach Milija Bogicevic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS Koszalin have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-3 record having just -1 point less than leader PGE Turow. Anwil at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. AZS Koszalin will play against Siarka Jezioro (#10) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Anwil will play at home against Kotwica in Kolobrzeg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Gdynia between Asseco Prok. and Trefl Sopot. Sixth ranked Asseco Prok. (7-3) got a very close home victory over 3rd placed Trefl Sopot (7-4). Asseco Prok. managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 in the game for the fourth place. It was an exceptional evening for Jerel Blassingame who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Filip Dylewicz came up with 14 points and 7 rebounds for Trefl Sopot in the defeat. Trefl Sopot's coach Mariusz Niedbalski tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Asseco Prok. have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Loser Trefl Sopot dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Stelmet ZG. Asseco Prok.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Gdynia to the arena Start Gdynia.
Bottom-ranked Siarka Jezioro managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive loses. This time they won against ninth-ranked Start Gdynia in Tarnobrzeg 66-58. The best player for the winners was Jakub Dloniak who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Start Gdynia's coach David Dedek let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Siarka Jezioro (3-8) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Start Gdynia. Siarka Jezioro's next round opponent will be league's second-placed AZS Koszalin at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
The game between 11th ranked Rosa Radom (3-9) and sixth ranked Stelmet ZG (7-4) in Radom on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Zielona Gora beat Rosa Radom 110-92. Oliver Stevic orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Rosa Radom's coach Mariusz Karol gave the chance to play for twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Stelmet ZG moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Trefl Sopot. Newly promoted Rosa Radom dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Stelmet ZG will face higher ranked Energa Czarni (#3) in Slupsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rosa Radom will play at home against the league's leader PGE Turow (#1) in Zgorzelec.

In the last game of round 11 Kotwica was beaten by Energa Czarni on the road 80-76.

Asseco Prok. - Trefl Sopot 82-81

A very close game took place in Gdynia between Asseco Prok. and Trefl Sopot. Sixth ranked Asseco Prok. (7-3) got a very close home victory over 3rd placed Trefl Sopot (7-4). Asseco Prok. managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 in the game for the fourth place. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 1 point. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Energa Czarni (8-4) beat 8th ranked Kotwica (3-8) in Slupsk 80-76 on Sunday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-13. But Kotwica won third quarter 18-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Kotwica 40-28 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Bertengeh Gadri-Nicholson (208-83, college: Denver) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Lithuanian Valdas Dabkus (204-84) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Energa Czarni's coach Marius Linartas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Demetrius Brown (201-83, college: San Jose St.) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Corey Jefferson (183-85, college: Texas St.) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kotwica.
