2Liga is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 11 rounds left.

2Liga round 11 most important game was a victory of SMS PZKosz over 3rd placed Ksiezak Lowicz 88-81 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group A. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-20. But Ksiezak Lowicz won second period 27-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Mikolaj Witlinski (207-F/C-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. point guard Kamil Zywert (188-96) contributed with 9 points and 5 assists for the winners. SMS PZKosz's coach Arkadiusz Miloszewski used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) answered with 23 points and 6 assists for Ksiezak Lowicz. SMS PZKosz maintains second place in Group A with 6-3 record having four points less than leader Pogon Prudnik, which they share with Korsarz Gdansk. Ksiezak Lowicz at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. SMS PZKosz is looking forward to face Trefl II Sopot (#5) at home in the next round. Ksiezak Lowicz will play against Suchy Las and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked GTK Gliwice (7-3) against fourth ranked WKK Wroclaw (7-3) on Saturday night. Host GTK Gliwice was defeated by WKK Wroclaw in a tough game in Gliwice 74-82. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of GTK Gliwice. It was a great evening for point guard Jan Grzelinski (178-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 4 assists. Artur Grygiel helped adding 18 points. Guard Tomasz Wrobel (180-85) responded with 17 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. WKK Wroclaw have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with defeated GTK Gliwice. WKK Wroclaw will play against Nysa Klodzko (#10) in Kloszko in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GTK Gliwice will play at home against the league's second-placed AZS AWF K-ce (#2) in Katowice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked PWiK Piaseczno (6-2) against eighth ranked AZS AGH Alstom (4-5) on Saturday night. Visiting PWiK Piaseczno was defeated by AZS AGH Alstom in Krakow 93-79. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of PWiK Piaseczno. It was an exceptional evening for Grzegorz Dudzik who led the winners and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Andrzej Paszkiewicz came up with 23 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for PWiK Piaseczno in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS AGH Alstom moved-up to fourth place in Group C, which they share with Rosa II Radom and Pulaski Warka. Loser PWiK Piaseczno keeps the second position with two games lost. AZS AGH Alstom will meet at home Rosa II Radom (#5) in the next round. PWiK Piaseczno will play against Tur Bielsk Pdl. in Bielsk Podlaski and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for MCKiS Jaworz. (8-0) which hosted in Jaworzno 4th placed Rosa II Radom (4-5). Leader MCKiS Jaworz. managed to get a 14-point victory 80-66. The best player for the winners was Daniel Goldammer who scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated MCKiS Jaworz. have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group C with 8-0 record. Rosa II Radom at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. MCKiS Jaworz.'s next round opponent will be Handlopex AZS (#8) in Rzeszow and are hoping to win another game. Rosa II Radom will play on the road against AZS AGH Alstom (#6) in Krakow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
2Liga top team - Wilki Morskie (8-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked GTK Gdynia (3-6) in Szczecin 98-86. Pawel Kowalczuk orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Wilki Morskie. They maintain first place in Group A with 8-1 record. Newly promoted GTK Gdynia keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Wilki Morskie will face Basket Pila (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. GTK Gdynia will play against MKS Skierniew. in Skierniewice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 11:
In Group A Basket Pila was beaten by Suchy Las on the road 97-88. MKS Skierniew. lost to Korsarz Gdansk on its own court 88-99. Trefl II Sopot unfortunately lost to Notec in Inowroclaw 66-71.
In Group B Nysa Klodzko rolled over Wschowa at home 87-64. Sudety was defeated by Mickiewicz on the opponent's court 72-66. Tychy was beaten by AZS AWF K-ce in a home game 72-87. Pogon Prudnik won against HK Zory on the road 81-75.
In Group C Wisla AWF Kr. was outscored by Legia on its own court 59-80. Handlopex AZS recorded a loss to Pulaski Warka in a road game 84-73. Tur Bielsk Pdl. defeated Novum Lublin at home 91-81.


Group A
Suchy Las - Basket Pila 97-88

There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Suchy Las (2-7) beat at home higher ranked Basket Pila (4-5) 97-88 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 31-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Suchy Las forced 22 Basket Pila turnovers. Basket Pila was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Damian Szymczak (-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 4 assists. point guard Piotr Wieloch (180-94) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Suchy Las' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Forward Lukasz Krzeminski (200-80) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Wojciech Rogacewicz (203-86, college: Mount Olive) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Basket Pila. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Newly promoted Suchy Las maintains tenth place in Group A with 2-7 record. Basket Pila at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Suchy Las will face higher ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basket Pila will play against the league's leader Wilki Morskie and will have a slim chance for a victory.

2Liga top team - Wilki Morskie (8-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked GTK Gdynia (3-6) in Szczecin 98-86. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 57-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Wilki Morskie dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to GTK Gdynia's 48. They outrebounded GTK Gdynia 48-26 including a 38-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wilki Morskie looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by GTK Gdynia's players. Korsarz Gdansk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Guard Mateusz Nitsche (190-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jakub Zalucki (194-89) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Forward Mariusz Wojcik (197-79) answered with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and swingman Mariusz Lapinski (194-82) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for MKS Skierniew.Four MKS Skierniew. players scored in double figures.
