U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-PG-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for Stelmet ZG, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 26-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, two rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Energa Czarni (#5, 8-5) 98-89. Stelmet ZG is placed at 4th position in Polish TBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Stelmet ZG will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. In the team's last game Hodge had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Stelmet ZG and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former University of Florida star has very solid stats this year. Hodge is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.4ppg. Hodge is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 5.3apg) and averages impressive 3.0spg and 51.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old American Bertengeh Gadri-Nicholson (208-C-83) of Energa Czarni. Gadri-Nicholson had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Energa Czarni lost that game 89-98 to slightly higher-ranked Stelmet ZG (#4, 8-4). This loss caused Energa Czarni to drop to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 8-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Gadri-Nicholson is a newcomer at Energa Czarni, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Ben McCauley (206-F/C-86) of Polpharma (#11). McCauley showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite McCauley's great performance Polpharma lost 70-88 to the higher-ranked Trefl Sopot (#2, 8-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Polpharma can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for McCauley he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. McCauley has individually a great season in Poland. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 8.5rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Oliver Stevic (204-F/C-84) of Stelmet ZG - 18 points and 12 rebounds
5. Kim Adams (201-F/C-82) of Rosa Radom - 5 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Rafal Rajewicz (203-C-88) of Kotwica - 17 points and 11 rebounds
7. Krzysztof Szubarga (182-PG-84) of Anwil - 18 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Jakub Dloniak (192-F-83) of Siarka Jezioro - 23 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Jerel Blassingame (175-PG-81) of Asseco Prok. - 27 points and 4 assists
10. Christopher Long (187-G-87) of Siarka Jezioro - 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
