Second-best AZS Kutno (11-4) fell to sixth ranked Sokol Lancut (9-6) in overtime by five points 80-85 on Wednesday night. The game took place in Kutno. But the guests from Lancut were better at the end. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AZS Kutno. It was a good game for Maciej Klima who led his team to a victory with 24 points. AZS Kutno's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sokol Lancut moved-up to fifth place, which they share with MOSiR Krosno. AZS Kutno at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Sokol Lancut will face bottom-ranked AZS PP (#16) in Pozoan in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS Kutno will play at home against MKS DG (#4) in Dabrowa Gornicza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 15: Astoria Bydg. beat Spojnia on the road 72-63. P.Cukier SIDEn won against Start Lublin on its own court 81-64. Stal Ostrow outscored AZS Radex in Ostrow Wlkp. 95-75. MOSiR Krosno recorded a loss to Slask Wroclaw at home 62-68. MKS DG defeated UMKS Kielce on the opponent's court 86-81. Znicz Basket beat Polonia in a home game 75-61.
The most impressive performance of 15th round was 19 points and 16 rebounds by Wojciech Fras of Astoria Bydg..


Spojnia - Astoria Bydg. 63-72

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Astoria Bydg. (6-9) beat higher ranked Spojnia (6-9) in Stargard 72-63 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-63. Astoria Bydg. made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Spojnia only scored seven points from the stripe. Spojnia was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds. Power forward Sebastian Laydych (203-87) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Tomasz Stepien (193-86) answered with 15 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Kamil Michalski (183-87, agency: Promotex) added 11 points in the effort for Spojnia. Spojnia's coach Ireneusz Purwiniecki rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Astoria Bydg. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Spojnia. Spojnia lost third consecutive game. Astoria Bydg. will face higher ranked Polonia (#9) in Przemysl in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.

Second-best AZS Kutno (11-4) fell to sixth ranked Sokol Lancut (9-6) in overtime by five points 80-85 on Wednesday night. The game took place in Kutno. But the guests from Lancut were better at the end. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AZS Kutno. The guests trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 19-9 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 5-point victory in overtime. AZS Kutno was plagued by 37 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Maciej Klima (205-82) who led his team to a victory with 24 points. Center Kamil Gawrzydek (210-87, college: Idaho St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Power forward Wojciech Glabas (207-90) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Lukasz Kwiatkowski (207-79) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for AZS Kutno. AZS Kutno's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Sokol Lancut moved-up to fifth place, which they share with MOSiR Krosno. AZS Kutno at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Sokol Lancut will face bottom-ranked AZS PP (#16) in Pozoan in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS Kutno will play at home against MKS DG (#4) in Dabrowa Gornicza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked MKS DG (11-4) defeated on the road 15th ranked UMKS Kielce (3-12) 86-81 on Wednesday. UMKS Kielce trailed by 19 points at halftime and as many as 31 after three quarters before a 36-10 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 81-86 at the end of the game. UMKS Kielce was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Lukasz Grzegorzewski (192-84) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Pawel Zmarlak (195-82) contributed with 15 points for the winners. point guard Hubert Makuch (179-85) answered with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Marcin Wrobel (200-87) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for UMKS Kielce. Four UMKS Kielce players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MKS DG moved-up to second place, which they share with Stal Ostrow and AZS Kutno. UMKS Kielce lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. MKS DG will face league's second-placed AZS Kutno on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UMKS Kielce will play against P.Cukier SIDEn (#8) in Torun.

The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Znicz Basket made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for forward Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-84) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Adrian Sulinski (185-89, agency: Promotex) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Znicz Basket players scored in double figures. Forward Tomasz Zablocki (202-78, agency: Promotex) answered with 21 points and the former international guard Grzegorz Kukielka (192-83, agency: Promotex) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Polonia.
