   #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85, currently plays in Euroleague). He led his Spanish team Caja Laboral to a victory over the eighth-ranked Olympiacos (0-1) 82-74 in the Euroleague in Thursday night's game. Lampe was MVP of the game. He recorded 25 points in 26 minutes on the court. Caja Laboral Vitoria (1-0) is placed second in group F. Lampe has relatively good stats this year: 12.5ppg, 4.9rpg, 2FGP: 48.4%, 3FGP: 30.4% and FT: 69.4% in the 11 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Polish and Swedish. Lampe is currently a member of the Polish senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to former international guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis, currently plays in Israel). He contributed to an easy victory against the league outsider Maccabi Ashdod (2-8) crushing them 104-72 in the Israeli Winner League last Sunday. Logan recorded 19 points. Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv (9-1) is placed first in the Winner League. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. It's Logan's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 11.1ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.2apg, 2FGP: 61.1%(22-36), 3FGP: 41.3% and FT: 71.4%. Logan is a naturalized American. He played for the Polish national team in 2009. Logan used to play for WTK Anwil Wloclawek in Polish league.

   #3. The Polish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international center Marcin Gortat (211-84, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Phoenix Suns (11-19) in their last game. Despite Gortat's very good performance the Phoenix Suns were edged 96-93 on the road by the Portland Trail Blazers. He was the top scorer with 18 points. Gortat also added 9 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was Suns' fourth consecutive loss in a row. Gortat has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 11.4ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.3apg, 1.9bpg, 2FGP: 53.8% and FT: 69.1% in the 30 games. Gortat is also a member of the Polish senior national team.

Center Szymon Szewczyk (209-82, currently plays in Italy) was the main contributor in an overtime Umana Venezia's victory against the closely-ranked Juvecaserta (5-7) 83-77 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday. He was the best player in that game. Szewczyk scored 17 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 35 minutes. Umana Reyer Venezia (5-7) is placed tenth in the SerieA. This year Szewczyk's overall stats are: 9.2ppg and 5.0rpg in the 10 games. He is also Polish national team player.

Ignerski scored 7 points in 27 minutes. Banco di Sardegna Sassari (10-2) is placed second in the SerieA. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Ignerski has reliable stats this year: 13.3ppg and 6.0rpg in the 12 games. He plays currently for the Polish national team.

Trybanski recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Dzukija Alytus (17-5) is placed first in the NKL. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. Trybanski is ranked first on the list of the best rebounders in the league and also on the list of best blockers (first place). He has very reliable stats this season: 12.3ppg, 10.8rpg and 3.3bpg. Trybanski used to play for the Polish national team eleven years ago.

   #8. Forward Olek Czyz (200-90, agency: Priority Sports, college: Nevada, currently plays in Italy) faced previously mentioned Michal Ignerski in the Italian SerieA last game. Czyz was not able to help Lottomatica Roma (7-5) in their game against Banco di Sardegna Sassari (10-2). He cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. Czyz scored only 3 points in 14 minutes. Lottomatica Roma was edged 83-81 in Sassari by the second-ranked Banco di Sardegna. This year Czyz's total stats are: 7.8ppg and 4.3rpg in the 12 games. He used to play for the Polish U20 national team back in 2010.

U20 international forward Tomasz Gielo (206-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an Liberty's surprising victory against the Milligan College (10-2) 81-63 in the NCAA on Friday night. Gielo recorded 9 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. The Liberty University has conference record this season. Gielo has averaged so far 7.8ppg and 4.3rpg. He is also in the roster of the Polish U20 national team.

   #10. Center Szymon Lukasiak (208-87, college: Jacksonville, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan was not able to secure a victory for Nassjo (3-16) in their last game. Despite Lukasiak's good performance the bottom-ranked Nassjo was crushed 95-71 in Uppsala by the much higher-ranked (#3) Basket. He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 22 minutes. It was Nassjo's third consecutive loss in a row. Lukasiak has averaged so far 8.8ppg and 5.5rpg in the 19 games. He is a former U18 international player as seven years ago he still played for the Polish national team.

   #11. International power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked Naturhouse Ferrara 79-63 in the Italian Nazionale A (third division) last Sunday. Wojciechowski recorded only 2 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. This season Wojciechowski has very high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg and 9.0rpg. Wojciechowski plays currently for the Polish national team.

   #12. International center Przemyslaw Karnowski (216-93, currently studies in the States) contributed to Gonzaga's victory against the Baylor University 94-87 in the NCAA in Friday night's game. He scored only 2 points. This season Karnowski has very high stats. He averages: 15.4ppg and 9.0rpg. Karnowski is also in the roster of the Polish national team.

Gal Mekel (190-PG-88, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Israel) led Maccabi Haifa to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Ironi Ashkelon (4-6) 111-94 in the Israeli Winner League in Sunday night's game. He recorded 16 points and added 9 passes. Maccabi Bazan Haifa (7-3) is placed third in the Winner League. Mekel has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 8.0apg and 1.5spg. Mekel has a dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.

   #2. Vitaliy Kovalenko (203-F-84, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague could not help Khimik (12-9) to beat Kryvbasbasket (10-14). Kovalenko scored 9 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 3 assists. But Khimik was badly defeated 89-73 on the road by the lower-ranked Kryvbasbasket (#10). It was Khimik's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Kovalenko's total stats this season are: 8.2ppg and 2.4rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Polish and Ukrainian.

   #3. Konrad Wysocki (201-F-82, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Princeton, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a EWE Baskets' victory against the closely-ranked ALBA Berlin (10-4) 89-81 in the German BBL last Friday. Wysocki scored 9 points. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. EWE Baskets Oldenburg (11-5) is placed second in the BBL. Wysocki's total stats this season are: 8.1ppg and 3.6rpg. He has both Polish and German nationalities.

   #4. Marek Olesinski (203-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help U.S. Air Force Academy in a victory against the University of California, Riverside 61-53 in the NCAA on Saturday night. He scored only 3 points in 7 minutes on the court. The U.S. Air Force Academy has conference record this season. Trefl Sopot (TBL) landed 28-year old Serbian guard Pedja Stamenkovic (190-88, agency: 011 Sports) for a tryout period.
